Superb machine, this was state of the art technology back in the day. Nowa days we wash dishes in things such as the dual sliding cabinet dishwasher.

What ever, I'd use it. I hate washing dishes ,this seems fairly cool to me!!!

What a timesaver!!! LOL You have to stand there to fill/empty/switch, but I'm sure it was a luxury in it's day.
Does a pre-rinse when it fills, you said that the lid fills with water and sliding the switch releases it
In less time then it takes to get the water to temperature you could do several loads of dishes.

New dishwashers don't clean near as well as older ones and are nothing but cheap plastic mAde junk
