No movie, not again.. They need to make a series, maybe on Netflix. Movies are too short and way too costly. The Warcraft stories need more than 2 and half hours. They need like multiples of seasons.

their problem was that they tried to do what this type of story doesn't let you do. Make a, one part, live-action, Hollywood type film. They should've just sticked to what they really can do: Animation. And not make it a movie but a series or at least a trilogy.

And because the game population in general can't stand the character of mary sue Sylvannas. She is selfish, edgy, and annoying. She is like a mega powered 14 year old girl perpetually on the rag. You just want to throw some chocolate and Midol at her and hope she shuts the hell up soon.

I think what She said was true He was not fit to wear the crown or willing to delve into the evil and power that the Sword gave , so He was weaker.

How the crowd reacts to a cinematic vs how they react to the game is like imagination vs reality.

Their cinematics have always been top-notch. Their expansions have been hit-or-miss.
The vocal minority on forums are never happy.
Legion and BFA have both performed beyond expectations with retention as well as sales, BFA broke sales records from WOTLK, for example.
I never liked WoW but I like watching cinematics since I was hooked to Warcraft as a kid.
Even if the reactions feel the same every expansion, You gotta admit NO ONE was prepared for Sylvanas breaking the Helm of Domination and opening the sky up. that i felt was the most genuine shock.

Yea the problem is the endgame content. If u run all the raids there is nothing more then to do.
WoD is the perfect example. Amazing raids, one of the best of all time but then there was 0% content after it.
People only liked Classic that much cuz u had every time something to do. It was way more time consuming, also if the raids was easy af.

I feel at this point the hype from the crowd stems more from how well done the cinematics are rather than excitement for the actual expansion.
Hopefully Blizzard will realize at some point that their cinematics should be the focus point.

The only thing I have a problem with about this cinematic was just how easily she defeated the Lich King... I wish she would have gotten some hits at least.
Sort of get it, but then again, on rewatching it, she basically sets him up with the arrows since he doesn't know she can use them to chain him down. He's mostly ignoring the arrows since they barely harm him, and she outsmarts him, doesn't necessarily mean she's stronger than he is.

You people that think nothing should beat the Lich King - espeically now that Bolvar wears the Helm and hasn't succumbed to it fully yet and he also doesn't have Frostmourne, which was responsible for a lot of the power Arthas had wearing the Helm - no nothing about the lore. Just go play the Warcraft games where the story is in stasis and nothing will evolve. It's the only damn story you guys will ever enjoy.

I still get shivers from this cinematic. I was there live and it was definitely an electric moment. Props to Blizz for the best cinematic yet.
With some luck though, one: Sylvanas will die this expansion.
Two: The Helm of Domination will be repaired/improved and Bolvar will return as Lich King.
Why I think this? Well in the case of Sylvanas, all of her secret planning is now over and everything is out in the open. She's reached her endgame and has now openly turned against the -whole- of Azeroth. Everyone is now coming for her and the entity that she serves, and seeing as this story so far seems to follow Garrosh's ( Evil Warchief gets defeated, goes to other realm to bring army to get revenge, gets offed), there's a good chance this is her last run.
As for the Helm of Domination being destroyed, I think it is only temporarily because it's been revealed that apparently we will be visiting the Forge of Domination and the actual guy who forged the Helm and Frostmourne ( Please Blizzard, stick to Nathrezim having created that, don't retcon that too). So I like to think that we will help Bolvar and the smith to repair/create a new Helm of Domination to restore the barrier between Azeroth and the Shadowlands. And by god I hope that Bolvar then fully embraces his Lich King powers and tears Sylvanas a new one.
Or Arthus returned somehow to show em how it's done lol b/c... Why not? I hear you though, this definitely feels like a Garrosh repeat performance

She is Azeroth's only hope. She burned Teldrassil to keep the well away from Azshara.
She said what she did while fighting Saurfang to end the war that those actions (which had to be done) started.
I am nearly positive that Thrall and Saurfang know that this is what's up and this is ALL misdirection.
They better fix this fucking bullshit. Worst cinematic ever in the history of this dogshit game.

She walked into the Lich King's seat of power, by herself, beat him easily with shadow chains, and then broke the helm of domination for...reasons. And opened up the path to ff14 shadowbringer... I mean Shadowlands. It's an awesome cinematic and I like sylvanas kicking ass like everyone else but it lacked weight and purpose. Like how she abandoned the Forsaken. The Lich King was a story thread with potential, as a bad guy from the past slowly consolidating power again. This was akin to being killed off-screen. It's not misogynistic. If anduin or thrall did the same shit, I'd think it was the same thing. Random, lazy writing, and a waste of a strong character. But hey, maybe the next expansion will explain how Sylvanas was playing 4D chess and all will be forgiven. But I'm just not seeing that being very likely after the current state of things.

I still remember the day when they showed BFA cinematic, everyone was so hyped up until the expansion got released and was a total disappointment. Hopefully shadowlands won't let us down since I'm looking forward for that tower.
Envi to be fair it does sound like they’ve finally taken the feedback on board regarding all the controversial systems like artifact power etc. They were probably embedded in BfA because they will have been developing that before the Legion cycle ended but the feedback received during Legion has made its way into this expac instead.

Nah not really. Most of them are probably mists babies or legion babies. Anyone who's actually been playing since vanilla, knows bc was WoW's peak. Wotlk was the beginning of the casualization and dilution of everything. People just have an obsession with the Lich King and Icecrown because they look cool. It's really that simple.
