SBS Transit Volvo B10TL Super Olympian (Volgren CR222LD) Farewell Tribute

- 7 April 2020. Well, this is it. The legendary Volvo B10TL Super Olympian (Volgren CR222LD) double decker buses had approached the end of the lifespan in Singapore. SBS Transit had purchased 51 buses of Volgren CR222LD by Volvo B10TL (excluding SBS9889U) between 1999 and 2003. After successful trial of SBS9888Y (1999-2010), it paid 50 more buses in Volgren bodywork.
We have come to an end of legendary Non-wheelchair accessible double decker bus that SBS Transit had used to operate over 17 - 20 years. With that, it will be time to move on and will be missed as a memory lane of Singapore for Volvo B10TL. SBS9889U will be released in future date.
Back 2000s, it was one of the modern buses and brand new era of Millennium 2000, alongside with Mercedes-Benz O405G bendy buses by Trans Island. Both will be missed.
