I bought one with the 1.5 liter engine. With the price , you can buy 2 . Easy to use and economical, loaded also with safety features.
    Good daily vehicle.

Man i like this dude's honesty about everything. And when you in the car which mister Marek review you can see those little flaws that makes you crazy in every day usage. I don't know why honest people like him, dont have more subscribers, but I know that when I went to buy car, first thing i watch mr. Marek review, it was Suzuki Vitara, and when i sit in the test drive, around the city, it fell like I already know the car. I wish mr. Marek more good quality, honest videos and more subscribers in 2019. Best regards from Croatia.

I'm owning same Qashqai 1.3 DCT for 2 years now and I fully agree with Marek, visibility ( blind spots) is the major disadvantage of this model. However, it's good value for its price (23,5 k for N-Connecta version in Cyprus)

Just rented one of these in Maine, USA. My impression: it’s a car. If you’re first and only concern when buying a car is, “what color”, then this Nissan won’t disappoint. Mine was 2018 so no ACP/AA. Infotainment is weak. FM radio kept randomly wandering off of a set frequency. USB audio in worked 85% (not 100%) of the time without a reset/restart. Otherwise, it’s a car. Minor bonus points for locking AWD button to allow me to get around rutted driveways in Maine winter. Incredibly slow for cabin to heat up (took 30 minutes for engine to get to temperature, maybe a fault with my particular car). All in all, the Koreans, Toyota and Honda are better but there is nothing super wrong with this.

Thanks Marek, You are the best! I just sold my Qashqai 1.2 XTRONIC. The new engine with DCT would not be an option. The XTRONIC-CVT was great and now also with particle filter? - no thanks, because I have with my Seat Diesel only stress about... I do not understand why Nissan do not sell Hybrid or E-power cars in Europe. Now I'm driving the C-HR Hybrid and I'm happy. :) Greetings from Estonia!

I like the Qashqai. But in my opinion the 1.6 DIG-T is the better option. In Germany you can get an optional ECU directly from your Nissan dealer. Than it outputs 215 hp (DIN) and 320Nm. With warranty.
The suspension is good, it's not loud inside, the tekna plus offers more than you really need.
    I recomend the J11B.
...running the cam all the time is bullshit. The visebility is good.

    • @MarekDrives

Considering that Nissan brought this out to replace medium size saloon/hatch backs that were losing favour, they stormed the market with this car which was never meant to be a go anywhere car. Hence front wheel drive is most popular, why pay extra both in buying and running costs if you don't want to cross country but like the look of that type of car?

It looks like the Nissan Rogue here in the US, but slightly tweaked. Highest residual vehicle Nissan sells in the states. The purchasing choices other countries make are interesting - for example, at least where I live in Washington State, everyone buys AWD. Addendum: It does kind of look like the new Nissan Kicks.

@@hedydd2 they will sell hardly any autos in the UK. Many prefer a manual, and don't value an auto enough to drop an exrea £1500-2000 on a budget car. It just makes no sense.
Autos are growing here, about 15% of sales in 2017. So it's growing quite quickly.
One thing that sticks out here, is he said Nissan predict the diesel is going to be the seller. Now this would of been a given prost 2017, (we use to sell over 60% diesels across all cars) but last year deisel sales was down almost 50%
So that wil mean that 60% Market shars is now around 30% and shrinking.

Good question; manufacturers have been tight lipped about their plans for Brexit. My guess is that the Japanese Trojan horse assembly plants will be moved to a remaining EU member state because European assembly plants avoid import tariffs and currency fluctuations. The UK is already outside the Euro, so after Brexit the Japanese manufacturers might shift assembly out of UK. 🤔 After Brexit, the UK will be able to negotiate trade deals with Japan, Canada, Mexico, USA and Korea. Hence the UK car market might well import fewer cars from Europe and more from other countries. 😵

I found this DCT to be slow to respond and hesitant when taking off from a dead stop in the new Merc A200. It also shifted way too late in the first 3 gears revving the car over 3000 RPM despite it being in eco mode and me being light on the throttle.
Is this any better? Is it tuned differently? Have you experienced any of this in the A class?

Got my Mk2 Qashqai in May 2014 and at that time it was far and away the best in it's class in the small SUV/crossover market. Unfortunately Nissan have sat on there asses and done next to nothing to bring the model up to date. They probably feel they don't need to - here in the UK - as it's such a big seller.
Their loss!!! It's nearly five years later and I pick up my new Peugeot 3008 on Thursday which is far superior to the Qashqai in the small SUV/crossover class.

Watch out for the warning signs oil consumption that’s the start of your Nissan journey enjoy 😉 PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CAR.
