Thank you Dave for another top video. As you rightly pointed out, one can achieve great results without the need of a machine polisher and for most people that's enough. Have a great weekend.
thanks mate, I started on a pedal bike with a trailer. I had £5 to my name and I made so many mistakes. More than you can imagine but i learned from every single one of them the hard way. Back then we didnt have youtube when i started so it was just a case of learning from anyone i could get hold of. Was a heck of an experience
I often reach for Auto Finesse Tripple. Polish, glaze, and wax in one. Although I do generally use a DA polisher, it is still easy enough to apply by hand.
What do you personally do when you finish the exterior on a full exterior detail? I’ve just started up a detailing business and am still a beginner and don’t know what should be offering after drying the car, is a glaze enough in its own? Should I be using a wax every time? I’m struggling to know what should be kept as an extra upsell. Really enjoy your videos though, it’s helped me a lot to be able to watch your channel when getting started
Hiya you have so many options for upsells, tar removal, paint enhancement (glaze) and wax, maintenance cleans can have ceramic foam sealants. My older videos talk about the pricing i used to do back in the day just bare in mind prices then don't really reflect now
Evening I haven’t used a polish or wax for years my go to was always Autoglym, but now I’ve noticed if I get the paint work to a decent state with a polishing compound and my DA , I just use turtle wax spray and shine after a wash , I spray it on the wet paint work and dry it with my towel, water beads are great and it’s last around a month, I got Jag XF back in June , it in a terrible state looks good now , videos on my channel of my cars All the best Phil Keep up the great videos
Impressive results on that car Dave. I recently used Meguiar's 3 in 1 wax for the first time and was very pleased with the results. Won't use it regularly as it takes so long to apply but gives a nice glossy finish
I swear by Monster Shine's Glosslock glaze. Followed by some nice Mitchell & King wax. The Glosslock is happy staying on the paint until I do the whole car, I normally apply it with a machine. It includes a sealant, so adds a little extra protection. That is my go to pre show prep. I'm not gonna polish for every show.
For Compounding and Polishing by Hand Which one is Better Microfiber foam applicator pad Or Foam applicator I think so Microfiber pad Absorbers the product more than a Foam applicator what did you think which one is better?
Good question. to be honest ive never gone in depth to test that theory out but ive just used whatever was at my disposal and never had problems with either
Slightly of topic bro, but I’ve just bought a new car and the Dealership gave it a DIAMONDBRITE two stage coating. What do I need to do as after care to keep the paintwork at its best???
Hiya to be honest there is such a wide choice of brands out there. Black friday is a great time to pick up discounts. I use infinity wax, yum , autoglym to name a few

Thanks Phil, nice car that👌
Great video, love the wet look, could I use this if my car has a GardX ceramic coating?
Yes, Waxes can be applied on top of coatings

Need to try that one

Agreed, Glosslock followed by a good wax gives my white car a really glossy finish
Try Meg’s number 7 show car glaze 👋🏻
