I made another beautiful angel I went to hobby lobby and bought white yarn with sparkle this Angel is gorgeous and so easy. Thank You your a great instructor.
I just made my first one. I love it. I made it in memory of my best friend of 40 years that passed away yesterday. I'll be giving this to his parents.... Thank you so much...♥️♥️
Love this little angel tutorial! I made stocking-stuffer angel ornaments with this pattern using Red Heart Aran with a G hook for a "homespun" look for a "home-made Christmas" get-together and they were hits!
I never noticed any mistakes or that your were too fast, you went at a nice relaxed pace, 1st attempt & my angel is amazing, thank you for a great tutorial 😊
Thank you for posting this angel. Our church is having an all knitted and crocheted Christmas this year. Your angel will be perfect for it. I will also do some to make an angel garland for our school bus.God Bless
I just completed my 1st crochet angle following your instructions and it looks almost like the one you demonstrated.. Your instructions were easy to follow. Since I am almost a beginner I had to replay time and again. Planning to make a few. Thank you and God bless.
Just wanted to say thank you for responding so quickly yesterday .....made two of these angels, joined and used as the topper on my 3 ft tree, perfect finishing touch as all the ornaments I put on were crocheted....thanks again!!
I love this angel. I made I it for my neighbor who lost her daughter and a few months later her daughter's 3 month old baby died. I wanted to find an easy but beautiful pattern so thank you. I used #10 thread and a 2.25mm hook. I wanted mine to come out small to represent baby Tailor. I also wanted to mention that a few steps during your video could have been explained a bit better. Like at the end of the row where you cut the thread and then counted over 8 and then reconnected. There were a few other steps I had to figure out what u were doing. If you had described it a little more it would have made it easier. But other than that it was an awesome video so thank you for sharing and Merry Christmas.
Crochet Jewel these are lovely. I made some years ago and we tge group i was in used little wgite rings. You can find them in the craft section. But unstead of making the Magic Circle just crochet around the rung and continue with your pattern. It help keep the round part sturdy. I donated all mines i made to a Domestic Violence Center.
Hi there crochet jewel, Many many thanks for this angel video. I just finished making a white color angel following your instructions. I had to rip out my stitches a few times however got back on track and boy my angel turned out perfectly. Just saying sharing your work is bountiful! Have yourself an enjoyable xmas and a prosperous 2017
Great tutorial. Followed you as you crocheted. I am going to make about two more, one green and one red, and hang them on my door front along with my wreath and stars. Thanks for the pattern.
Hi I have made the angel but struggle to get the detail even on both sides especially from to 10 to 20 I get to the other side and seem to run out at 18 even though I have 10 to start! Could you do an added tutorial showing the part near the end of each side please as mine seem uneven
Thank you for the video. It’s my first time using thread size 3. My first time making an angel. It turned out nice but I ended up with 4 fans at the bottom. Not sure where I messed up but it looks good anyways :).
Row 5. Sl St with your yarn, Start in 8th dc, sl st in your yarn, Chain 3(Counts as Dc), dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the same space, skip next ch 1, *(2dc, ch 1, 2dc) in the next chain 1 space, skip next chain 1, *Repeat for one more time. Turn
The first part was super hard....I managed to make a head so I am super happy with that...mine still turned out super cute in the end. People are impressed when they see these things especially if they don't crochet.
Can anyone help me? at 9:33, I have no clue what is going on with tying the yarn in the 8th stitch over. How can that happen without premeasured yarn length? I'm lost. If we're supposed to cut yarn when the previous row is finished, it doesn't say that.
i use a cup of water then add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch. Microwave for 1 minute till it thickens, add water to get a thinner paste if needed. or a mix of pva glue with water, dip items in the mix. pin the wet items down on a non coloured cloth till dry. You can use a thicker mix for a stiffer finish or thinner mix for a softer finish. To help guard against yellowing I use a firm hold hair spray to coat. Keep in mind not to starch coloured items with each other as some dyes do run and can stain lighter coloured items.
I love this! However, I keep making some mistake that I can not seem to define. Row 3 I get up to the 20 DC but somewhere in the 4th row I never end up with 20 DC. I mean I am on my 10th time redoing this and can not figure out what I am doing wrong. I know it is hard as you can not see what I am doing, but do you have any suggestions and how to problem solve this?
I took the tail from the beginning round, and I looped it up about 2 inches, then I held it in place and weave the rest of the tail in the back of the head to secure it or you can take more yarn and loop it and then weave in the ends on the back of the head, I was going to show it in the video and forgot.
You start out slow and nice but when you get to the dc and space your losing me....do you have it written somewhere?I'd like to follow the written one along with you

Question. At end of round 4 did you cut the yarn before attaching to 8th stitch in round 5?
fasten off on row 4, and yes start again with new yarn on row 5, www.amyscrochetpatterns.com/2016/10/crochet-angel-christmas-ornament-with.html

This is certainly a timeless project. Thank you. I used a 2.0 hook to make one.
I tried several of these. Why does the wing look round on one side and straight on the other side? I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I got lost when you had to tie in the yarn after the round w double crochet chain one row. Do we cut the yarn before tying it in on the eighth stitch?

Thank you for sharing. Your tutorial is very easy to follow. I’m going to make some for family and friends. :)
You seem to have cut the yarn somewhere and then are re-joining it. Where did you cut?
This is so cute and I can actually make it \o/
Did you cut the yarn at the end of the wing row? Thank you!
Yea I think so I’d have to go back and watch
I lost the plot after this

You're Welcome!

do you think if using weight 4 worsted yarn would work?...it might make a bigger angel?
yes, it would just be bigger.
I did one with worsted weight yarn & a sz E crochet hook, she came out BEAUTIFUL..
Lovely!
Do you have a written pattern for this Angel?

I MADE THE ANGEL TKS TO YOU LOVE IT
Hi there would like to try,, can you tell me what is size 3 in Uk sizes?? I have brought whoosh 100% cotton thread,, looks quite small?? Any help
Think it’s an 11
Can you make this with yarn?
It would just make it thicker and bigger
When u say end, is that where u cut the thread and join in the 8th dc sp
When you join in the 8th spot, yes you have to end to previous round by cutting the yarn and fastening off.
How do you fasten off?
Jewel do you have a video of an Angel that has a skirt like your bells. I don't know any way to describe the Angel .
sorry I dont
Hi. I just wanted to ask what do you put on them so they won’t curve or turn yellow. I love the pattern. I made a lot for my family.
you can use fabric or yarn stiffner from a craft store
i use a cup of water then add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch.
@@gigglebox6636 thanks so much!! I'm going to give this a go.

put your last two double crochet in the starting chain at the top.
What kind of cotton thread did you use?
Red Heart Thread 3
Hi, how did you do the loop on the head? Thank you!
I took the tail from the beginning round, and I looped it up about 2 inches, then I held it in place and weave the rest of the tail in the back of the head to secure it or you can take more yarn and loop it and then weave in the ends on the back of the head, I was going to show it in the video and forgot.
Crochet Jewel ok, Thank you! 😀
so you used cotton yarn or worsted yarn?....
cotton thread yarn for this one, size 3 red heart thread yarn

Am I working on the good side or back side when I attach in the 8th stitch?
+I don't think it matters but I'd would do the back side Stephanie Covian
