In my humble opinion, Hoor concept is transcendental, not physical. Literally Hoor is hawwara meaning unravelling. So muttaqeen will be confronted with everlasting beauty of the unravelled companionship with the One Whom the Muttaqeen strived for . Esoterically , the Oyun عیون are the source of unravelled knowledge and wisdom that the Seekers will be endowed with. Thnx for nice information. Regards

What does the word Hoor means? Gorgeous women? NO !!
Hoor = Houri = Modest, intelligent companions, male or female. Unfortunately, this word has been almost invariably translated as ‘gorgeous women with big eyes’. Hoor applies to men and women both. The male gender is Ahwar and the female is Hawra. Again, Hoor = Men and women of vision who are modest and delightful companions.
In the Quran, the companions of Jesus have been called "HAWARIYYOON" which is plural of HOOR and they were all males.

Jannah and Jahannum (and Hoor Al’Een, for that matter) and all that happens in them are matters of the Hereafter. These are a part of the realm of the Unseen of which we have very limited perception. Such matters are beyond our understanding and cannot be known by reasoning and thinking and we have really no knowledge of these things except what the Quraan and the authentic Sunnah tell us. All we do is believe in such matters of the Unseen while remembering that its realities are known only to Allah.

فَاَمَّا الَّذٖينَ فٖى قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَاْوٖيلِهٖ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَاْوٖيلَهُ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِى الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ اٰمَنَّا بِهٖ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَا وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ اِلَّا اُولُوا الْاَلْبَابِ.
