    Earlier today on Reddit I saw a post about Amazon removing reviews about having fake products, but there was a comment from someone saying they reviewed drunk elephant on Sephora and critiqued the packaging and Sephora deleted/refused to post their review. It's a fair point that there's so much plastic waste, I like to shop with that in mind. It's nice to see some alternatives that are a bit better packaging wise!

    Hi Sarah I actually tried a sample of the DE protini and have to say I wasn't impressed tbh, but I have super dry (rosacea and eczema prone) skin - it wasn't enough moisture for me and was very meh overall (another majorly hyped product i'm underwhelmed by lol). I have tried the Klairs and it's nice, but more of a Spring/Summer moisturiser for me (as it's not enough moisture either) - works well as a calming mask though.
    In other news I have been really enjoying the Kate Sommerville Delikate cream and serum I found in a kit (on sale) - it's really nice and I would buy them again if I got them on a decent deal.
    The Pacifica vegan ceramide stuff I tried is as follows:
    the cream is pleasant, but will be a Spring/Summer moisturiser for me, as it's not moisturising enough for my skin in cold weather (even under spf and over all the toners, essences and serums).
    the eye patches are nice and hydrating - not an essential, but a nice treat occasionally
    the ceramide oil is the star of the three for me and I really like it. Mixed into the cream really amps up the moisture and makes it wearable in this early Spring weather, but used under any moisturiser it's really nice. Of the three this was the surprise star product and my skin drinks it in. I should mention again that I am super dry however, so others will have a different experience. I think the cream would be good for those with just dry skin, but for the super dry it's a bit too lightweight. I am however someone for who moisturiser has to be really rich/buttery to really work well most of the year here in this Scottish weather.
    I'm still using the PC soothing body butter as a night cream and have gone through two full tubes this Winter already for face, neck and chest. Best wishes.

      Yes to the DeliKate moisturizer!! I usually have to apply multiple hydrating layers - essence layers, ceramide serum layer, milky lotion layer, heavier moisturizer and hydrating sunscreen 😦😰 With the DeliKate moisturizer I need one layer of the moisturizer and my SPF and I’m set!!
      I’m not impressed by the DeliKate serum but I do adore the Glow Recipe Avocado Barrier Serum.

      I was on the hunt for a thicker, more buttery moisturizer for night time this winter and found the Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. It is everything I was looking for and SUPER inexpensive.

    • @lorainemcgillivray77
      @lorainemcgillivray77 Год назад +1

      @@reginaph828 I like the texture of it tbh and it's a nice hydrating serum. I'm not using it for actives etc and using other things for those. Btw the Paula's choice ultra rich moisturiser is similar to the Delikate moisturiser and works just as well under my spf - it's half the price of the Delikate when both are full price. I like the moisturiser for my extremely dry skin, but it's not enough overnight for Winter and as stated I've been using the soothing body butter from PC - I've enjoyed it and the INCI list is decent (it's also 118mls/4oz so you can slather it on a bit more, plus it's cheaper than the face version). I hope that helps, as when people talk about creams for "dry" skin they're not talking about the creams needed for super dry skin unfortunately. It's almost another skin type as I produce NO SEBUM anymore whatsoever - none, nada, nothing and need something super rich to make my skin feel comfortable. x

However I thank you for the suggestion x
