I totally agree I adore the series,I have watched the whole of 20 episodes 4 times.Actors are brilliant snd beautiful to watch and listen to.Love the story line.I hope there will be another similar with all the main actors.great performance.Must mention Rowoon,so versatile and brilliant in every thing,singing,dance and acting. 🙏🏼
I really loved this this drama.I rewatch it for the 3rd time the whole 20 episodes.Honestly my son could not understand why I'm watching it over and over again. I was sad when I was reading so many negative comments.I Some viewers stated that the scenes were "dragging"but they continued watching anyway up to episode 20. So why these bashers watched it to the end.I' m surprise.I can say this an excellent Kdrama with excellent actors.Beautiful cinematography,costumes and overall scenery.thi is a WOW for me .there was one negative comment which points to RoWoon, It stated that they were question why they have to to chose him
I’ve watched all 20 episodes so many times I’ve lost count. My husband, other family members, friends and co-workers could not understand why I was so mesmerized by this beautiful drama. I never stopped until I convinced them to watch. Now we are all on this beautiful emotional roller coaster together. There was no down time for me with this drama. I was sold, completely, from the first scene.....and this carries weight because I have great taste in movies/dramas. Ps. This is my first K Drama and man!!!! What a first impression to have? Lots of love and respect to the entire cast and crew. Park Eubin, lady, you are superb, precious, rare. Rowoon, you are here to stay, solid as a rock. Keep on climbing...the sky is the limit.

I guess the storyline depicting pure and steadfast love that overcame all tests and challenges had touched an invisible chord in our hearts. It was perfect in all areas - the actors, the storyline, the cinematography, the costumes and everything. They should be winning more awards and accolades! I was truly moved that a drama depicting the different facets of love was able to make such a global impact on the people. Just look at the comments in RUclips, IG and FB. It has managed to do what the govts of today have been trying v hard to do - uniting the people without force thru the message of love! Looking forward to season 2 - it’s too beautiful a drama to have only one season! Gotta petition to KBS for it! 🤞✌️🤣

@@nickysalmon4512 thank you so much for your kind comment! 😆 I am just another fellow viewer who got “hit” by an inexplicable ton of emotions when I first started watching it. 😆Have been trying to get to the bottom of it as I have never felt this way with a drama before. And the more I rewatched, the more insights on life I received. It was like there were layers of hidden wisdom within it. But ultimately its wonderful characterisation of the different facets of love - between lovers, friends, family, ruler and his/her subjects - the sacrifices and tests that “love” has to go thru, remains the pulling point of the drama. From a 70 year old lady who lives alone and just rewatching and rewatching and coming to regard the characters as a family, to a college professor who gave his/ her students an assignment based on The King’s Affection to another who said that it has brought hope and warmth to her in the current uncertainty in her country - it has touched the hearts of uncountable people. I just hope that its impact will continue to touch more and more people. That’s also part of the reason that I hope for a season 2. 😄 It is an unforgettable masterpiece with an unforgettable cast and OSTs that tug at your heartstrings, bringing back all the memories of the series! How to stop rewatching? 🤣🤣🤣
