Soly / Tron - I'll be honest, I really appreciate the honesty. From the half-a-dozen intelligent golf people that I know who have played it, all say that Mammoth blows Sand Valley away. I haven't heard a single person that knows design who said they weren't a bit disappointed by Sand Valley and have echoed that it was not Coore/Crenshaw's best work. I've heard both Bill and Ben were not as involved on this project, for a number of reasons. You guys shared that tactfully, while still describing what I hear is still an incredible destination! Still, can't wait to go someday. Ben - great shootin' out there, jeepers! Keep up the great work, fellas.
Visually they are magnificent something like a national park experience I almost think they didn't want to touch it too much, it was already there. Just looking at them for scenery was enough for me. I have painted 10 paintings of s.valley since July. very inspiring. They are a real gift Only course I've seen that matches is cypress point , but that is from a painters opinion with that I will add this ..it has a variety of colors and what great cloud formations when I was there I have been to many western u.s and canadian national parks and sand valley be will just memorable.
Played Sand Valley for the first time at the beginning of May on a super windy day. Rough scene on the scorecard but absolutely loved it. Gotta get back there to play Mammoth.
Quality golf on quality course Love your great swings ? Why the two side bunkers on 17 The don't come into play. I think... They are balance out the tree that is behind the green right in the middle. The bunkers also don't fit the pattern of the traps on the course.
This place is heaven. Taco's are STUPID and so is the Torta! This beats out Pinhurst for me when judging total golf trip. Accommodations are REALLY nice.
Great, I watched this at the start of my workday, and now I get to think about golfing all day while in the office. Sounds like a monday

I know this is two years ago, but I just need to applaud the prices at the snack hut! $2-3 beers? The way it should be.
As of last year, the beer is still $3 and the tacos/ice cream sandwiches are also still $1.
Tron goes from being bald to having a mullet. There is no in-between.
The tacos at Sand Valley were good but those roast beef sandwiches on Mammoth Dunes were outstanding. Get two each…trust me!
