    There's no separate percussionist. Just the three of them with lots of overdubs.

    Watching from Sweden. I've loved DL's stuff ever since they released their first covers, some ten years ago, and I've lately become somewhat addicted to reaction videos. It's just so nice to see others being just as mad about this band as I am. Makes me feel a little bit less crazy, hahaha.

    These guys are so gifted! Each has the vocabulary, the technical expertise I'm sure they worked diligently to acquire. But that's just the start. Then they apply that vocabulary and create poetry. I love admiring the craftsmanship they apply to create their magic.

    The percussion part is the actual loop they are playing along with.

    UP of Michigan.
    Rock you for the quintessential Dirty Loops blend of groove and chops.
    Turbo (Dirty Loops with Cory Wong) for instrumental funk.
    The collab with Cory Wong also yields a cover of MJ's Thriller that no other band on the planet would dare to have tried.
    Great fun watching you discover!

    I am brand new, watching from Arizona, and definitely liked and subscribed.
    Pretty sure the percussionist you were looking for was just a sample. "Loops" after all. ;) And yeah, isn't that a hell of a solo? Both of them. But the drum solo is the best I've heard since Neil Peart in terms of composition and musicality!

Hope you gonna do some more Dirty Loops reactions later. "Rock you" is awesome too, just to give you a hint. Have a nice day!

    Your on a journey now! Be sure to check out all the Dirty Loops vids here on YT...also look up Songs For Lovers, which is kind of a little side project with mostly Henrik and Aaron. I could recommend specific tracks, but I'm certain the rest of the DL fans will give you a ton. Bottom line, you can't miss with Dirty Loops!

    Hey, man, great reaction! Loving it. There is waiting a lot good stuf for you. Just a quick thing: They don’t have a percussionist. It’s a sample (or a loop ;-) ) which they play to. Which makes all this even more unbelievable because it is so hard to groove to a -100% precise - computer :-) Greetings from Germany

      In the credits of Next To You they state that Andreas Ekstedt plays percussion on Work Shit Out as well, but they forgot to mention it. And of course they added a whole really silly story to it too. 😁

    • @lottawiklund8606
      @lottawiklund8606 3 года назад +2

      No, there is, just not in the band. Andreas Ekstedt played percussion on this one as well. They mention it in the credits of Next To You, in a very silly and funny way, as they forgot to mention him in the credits of this one. Their videos typically never show hired session musicians, who are not in the actual band.

      @@bjornbear6856 I believe it's a digital loop on this one, going through the whole song. They were using it as a "click".

    • @lottawiklund8606
      @lottawiklund8606 3 года назад +1

      @@bjornbear6856 No, it’s not in the credits of this one, as they forgot. Read the credits of Next To You. 😁

    • @lottawiklund8606
      @lottawiklund8606 3 года назад

      @@kjellswebilius7235 It’s not just the berimbau though. There are other percussion instruments here and there throughout as well, even in the drum solo. Some kind of sharp drum sound (no idea what they’re called in English), and aren’t there some wind chimes as well at some point? Probably more, but I’m no drummer, so I might be wrong.
