How do i keep the oven on if I open it. When I open the oven it shuts down.

Be aware the top cooker is dangerous as if you set the element to mid range say 5 then walk away the element will automatically go to full heat up mode eg 9 and come back to 5. Why is this dangerous. the first time i experienced it I had a little oil heating on 5 but came back to find a smoking pot. At first I thought my wrong setting so tested with water and yep it does override. BUT if you come down from 9 in setting temperature the over ride does not cut in.

Is it mouse proof as i bought a Westinghouse 90cm oven a year ago and mice got in the back and now it really stinks and i mean stinks.I have been told it cannot be fixed and to throw it away . SO IS IT MOUSE PROOF.

We have this oven and no 1. it's just too big. 2. If you open the door it turns it's self off without you knowing 3.The hot plate setting is very dangerous and you can't set it at 5 and walk away because it goes all the way to 9 then rolls back and you have liquid boiling over onto the hot plate. Would I get this oven again ? NO WAY It's a thumbs down from me and we have purchased a smaller oven that we use instead.
