Sig Sauer MPX CO2 Air Rifle - Air side part 3 (END)

The benighted (not any more!) Sig Sauer MPX CO2 air rifle and it's many problems.
Not really like any of the other videos here, but it's up for information.

Hi, thanks so much for your video on the Sig MPX/MCX. Really clear and useful. You mentioned a fondness for the ASG TAC Repeat which I’m about to try and improve. Even with the metal magazine I feel it could put out a fair few more fps. I wonder if you have time to produce a tear down video look at this air rifle? I have one in full working order and three broken ones I bought as junk from which I can use the parts. Thanks again for the Sig expose. Regards, Baz.

Stripped mine down and i have a pin that i found on the belt interface nipple (LOL) hoping you could identify it

I am wondering if the Canebrake is the one to get. I suspect it is the 'fixed' version. Mine shoots at nearly 700 fps (just shy of 7ft/Lb) and has been fault free so far. I only use the 88gr CO2 bottles.
I did find the barrel was loose after investigating some flyers, and found a bolt that was very loose. Now it is all tightened down it should be better. Have yet to test it though.

If you buy one buy the gen2 model I brought the gen 2 mcx you can tell the difference from the trigger it’s flat on the gen2 and has m lok hand guard I have put over 3000 pellets though it and have not had 1 jam and still work very well as far as I know the upgraded the internals on the Gen 2

I have a plan for this, I just got one, and I understand the flaws, but the gun performed well in this video. I expect mine to be the same way when I'm done; thanks for the vid. I stay looking for updated videos.

I said in the video, that the gun was made from substandard material. That's not quite true - it's just not made from the best material.
When it's working, (as mine now seems to be), it's great fun to shoot. For a semi-auto CO2, the trigger is good. (It's always the trigger having to index the belt/drum/etc that brings it down...)
And I would recommend the HPA upgrade for all sort of reasons - not least, the continuous tightening/untightening of CO2 capsules, will eventually cause the gun to fail.

I found, when I seat the magazine - whether you need to or not - if you cock the action with the slide - it lines up the teeth on the belt, with the feed claws from the trigger action.
You should only need to do it if you're putting the mag in, not between each shot. If you see what I mean.
I don't know if that'll help you, but it might be worth a try.

Every time I want to shoot it, you have to caulk it back. It might shoot one or two times then have to re-caulk it again .

@@jeffwarhawk517 Sounds like you have the same problem I did.
The blowback action isn't re-cocking the gun.
Not enough compressed air is being allowed to exit the floating valve backwards - to force the hammer carrier back onto the trigger sear.
I took a little bit of material off the back end of the floating valve so more gas could escape backwards.

@@jeffwarhawk517 The video 'Air side part 2', at around 7 mins 27 seconds. The floating valve is in bits and I point to the back of mechanism where I *carefully* filed off a small amount material from the circumference of the part that allows air to escape to the rear of the floating valve to re-cock the firing mechanism.
