I hadn't heard this song since I was like 20, I am now 37. It was my favorite song as a teen. Hearing it as an adult hit so differently and I freakin sobbed hearing it.

thats interesting. They went to my high school, PDS, and when I was in 6th grade the drummer's mom taught my social studies clasa and brought the whole band in before they were big to talk and perform to our class. They sounded incrediblyh similar 9 years ago
i found saves the day in 2005 at warp tour my favorite band at the time was senses fail chris played before he blew me away then senses fail played and i was like man buddy nelson (i think thats his name) sucks compard to chris and im still a std fan prob for life now

just because you change your vocal style doesn't mean its still not saves the day. His voice has just matured a lot.. and weakened a little. In reverie was a great album.. I felt that was very saves the day like.
Just because you know them personally does not mean you need to get your ears cleaned out if you haven't noticed how nasally his voice has gotten. I know he's always had a high-pitched unrefined voice, but he's singing from his head now. Not my cup of tea.
did you really just compare Chris Conley to the singer from Simple Plan...you should be ashamed of yourself for even taking the effort to type that mindless comment.
and just because this is actually Chris Conley doesn't mean i have to like what he does with his voice now. This is Not An Exit is probably my favorite STD song and this version is just awful.
I get that, but the guy from Simple Plan is nowhere near as genius as Chris. You shouldn't discredit him for it by comparing him to some guy from some crappy Pop band.
he is not singing in a different key or anything. He is just putting that punk twang on it, but it sounds so forced. There are two types of fans, those who will love anything the band does no matter what, or those that hold the musicians accountable for their mistakes as well as laud them for their successes. I'm one of the latter. CSD, TBC, and SWYA are great albums, and they were good live. They no longer are.

This was one of the best low key tours of all time...saw them in SF and it was mind-blowing.

Chris has always had a nasally type voice, it is amazing. If you don't like it your taste is terrible.
