Thank you! I transcribed this piece note-for-note, because there was no other accurate sheet music version in existence! (The official book version wasn’t bad but it was nowhere near as accurate as what Dave Grusin played on the original soundtrack recording)
His videos and transcriptions are amazing. And i will most probably purchasing in the near future some of his transcriptions. I have been listening The Firm OST for many years and i was always astonished by the punctuality of the timings of Dave Gruisin. And listening to his The Firm videos, they are identical with the original version and I was very curious about that. If you look closely the two octave tremolos in the song don't match with his fingers. But since its a playback, i was curious how he bypassed the copyright claims.
@@sinpack I assume this is Master Keyz playing and not Grusin, and if that's the case, he'd need a license only if he's profiting commercially off of it....which he is by selling transcriptions. Interesting question.
Thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying the wonderful music of Dave Grusin - the music from The Firm is so satisfying to play. (I had lots of fun transcribing it!) The Plan is a three-hand piece (Dave Grusin would have originally overdubbed the upper part, as seen in the video) but I did once make up my own 2-hand version of this piece which I may upload here one day. Thanks for watching and if you have any requests please feel free to ask anytime!
