@@peedonhobo We eat everyday, yet we don't become good at it like a competitive eater (in terms of speed or the amount we can take in), until we have the dedication to become good at it, and actually put in the effort to improve our skills, and correct our mistakes aka practice. So playing does not necessarily translate to practicing, because many people out there play the game just for fun and couldn't care less about making the same mistake over and over again. In Jon's case, he's playing the game mostly for content so yeah.

You are kind of shifting the argument to another direction - "Practice" is what we are discussing here.
“Skill is increased with experience”, nothing wrong with this statement, but such improvement does not continue indefinitely. Eventually you will reach a point where you don’t see any significant improvement, unless you put in the time and effort to “practice”. By you logic, all the seniors with 50 years+ driving experience should be marvelous, safe, skillful drivers, but no that's not how it works.
Eating or drinking can certainly become a “skill” through serious “practice”, look at all those people who eat competitively. Most of these competitors were not born with such skill sets; they get to where they are through discovery, trial and error and most importantly - practice. They do not become good at it by just eating everyday; they “practice” eating. One of the traditional training methods for competitive eating is by consuming a huge amount of cabbage and water.
