Yea! Roman is back and no insulting or degrading video title. The G is cool but I wouldn't want one for anything more than a weekend rental.
You may be driving at autobahn speeds, but you seem to lack autobahn lane discipline of using the left lane only for passing.
The G Wagon and Roman our truly ONE, I think Mercedes should let TFL long term this one. Worth watching to see Roman’s smile while driving.

Been spending a lot of time on I-10 lately Roman. This should have been a lot more comfortable and more convenient - not having to sit around and waiting for inefficient energy storage devices to recharge.
Considering the size and shape of that thing it sounds relatively quiet in there. I also irrationally lust after these vehicles. Not sure why, but yeah, if I had the money I'd put one in my garage.
Just curious: The last car these TFL car guys drove was a Porsche Taycan. if given the chance what would you take; this Mercedes AMG G63 or the Porsche Taycan? Although I love the Taycan, I would take the Mercedes G63.

I live in the UK and have the 2015 style Land Rover Defender (the last year they made that version before the new ones). Mine is quite loud on the road, and it's been sound proofed. The G63 sounds pretty loud too. Can you elaborate on it? It's hard to tell from a microphone. Cheers.

I don't like Moab because it's mostly rock, it's not mud. Mud is needed to unleash 100% of offroader's potential.

Sweet looking truck. However, it is just another toy for the rich. The rest of us will have to stick to Jeep Wranglers and Ford Broncos. PS I have to get to Nevada to try out that 85 MPH speed limit.

For $350k, I'd expect a full-size spare tire cover to prevent sun damage to the spare tire.

as much as i enjoy all TFL does, I'm very surprised that it was parked in a Disability / wheelchair park. Bad enough the Hotel has there own crap there with rubbish. Not ideal for those of us who rely on them to make our lives a little easier

As a lifetime wheelchair user I find it sad that the hotel would allow that. Even with all the other crap in the other handicap spots. I don’t care if the vehicle is worth $50.00 or $50.000.000... If it doesn’t have a legal handicap plate on the back or placard hanging from the rear view mirror it doesn’t belong parked there... Handicap spots are not for the rich and famous..
These are not rare here in absurdity that is Los Angeles. I posit that the douche factor is the inverse of the likelihood of a vehicle to spend any time in it's intended environment. Jeeps and Land Rovers are fairly low on that scale. Range Rovers higher, Cayennes more so. At the peak of the douche scale sits the G Wagen, by far the king of douche vehicles. A crying shame as they are among the most capable off-roaders and yet never even jump a curb.

Nope, the squared does not depreciate, at least not in the current market.
Wanna bet... LOL there are a few in Houston that will prove that theory wrong.
Go to ABZ motors. The have a few 4x4 squared, one with 1100 miles for $235k and another with 20k miles for $180k, both are the same year - $50k difference in something they call depreciation. Granted, they don't depreciate as quickly as $100k in 1000 miles, but they depreciate quite precipitously.
A quick look online showed prices from $284k to $165k... That's quite a spread.

@@mattbrew11 lol, in many ways it is just like a Ferrari, they do depreciate for a few years and then they become hyper expensive (take a look at any classic gull wing Mercedes). The collectable ones will eventually appreciate in value.

Is there some law in Germany where anything over 577HP gets penalized? I have a 2014 E63 AMG wagon... with 577HP... oddly enough, Porsche Turbos for the same year... 577HP. One of the US magazines dynoed the 2014 and it ws in the neighborhood of 650-670HP with just over 570 at the wheels... so.. MB understatement but just seems like these German manufacturers wouldn't be stating the EXACT SAME HP numbers without a reason.

Love the G. I wish you spoke more about the comfortability of the vehicle, the noise level inside, highlighted some interior features, played the stereo, etc. I know you touched on a few things, but a little bit more would’ve been nice. I think we heard more about your decision to stay in Moab or drive to CO than anything else. Still like your videos. BTW, I think Jay Leno had this car in his garage with the CEO & Pres. of MBZ USA, Dimitri, before you took over. Same engine builder, Ernesto, same color.

Yes, This was the spot the valet parked the car. Roman just picked it up.

I had an ml500. It was a fantastic vehicle all around vehicle for snow, towing, and moderate off road use. Fuel economy was decent but unfortunately it took premium grade.
I was actually shopping a used version(last gen) of one of these, that being said 300k vs 120k for a fully loaded Bronco Raptor on 37's, I will take the Raptor...

this truck literally only has 200 miles of range. WTF ... need to install a gas tank extender so you can have at least 500 miles 🤦♂ what was Merc. thinking ? so you can off road this anywhere, up to 200 miles lol. C'mon ...
My 2017 Freightliner semi gets 8.7 mpg fully loaded at 79-80,000 lbs. Yikes to 9.3 with this gWagon! At $370,000 , the gWagon should be producing its own gas! Lol!
That's impressive. That's about the same as a 14 tonne Hino I drove with 12 tonne load. You had 36 tonne. Amazing.

Must be hard to get into something that tall when you are handicapped.
Roman - I just bought a G63 Squared. The wind noise is more than our standard G63 - real noticeable about 80 . Ours has the luggage rack. I noticed the one you drove did not have the luggage rack on top. How was the wind noise? I an trying to determine is it the roof rack or the spoiler( light rack) up front. Thanks
