Doesn’t Jackie call Fez foreign or brown all the time and say they can’t be together for that reason? Lol
I really loved the Foremans taking Hyde in, and assuring that he had a safe place to stay, to the point of him considering them his real family.
Better then him ending up in prison like the season 4 premiere when eric and Donna broke up
they sum real ones for doin that. n look how he turned out. good
@@LloydxMcfly unfortunately, not in real life....
I loved that moment when Red told Hyde and Eric to fight to the death since they were fighting. Then told them they’re not really mad at each other and that they’re brothers.
I also think a serious moment was when eric went to work with his mom and notices all the dead and pain she goes through everyday.
That was probably the most real the show got as someone who worked at the fringes of the medical field i got to see the disrespectful way nurses are often treated desipte their dedication .
Yeah, S01E18, career day, is one of the best episodes
Bad BAD Blood BLOOD
1000% agreed
I was actually expecting that on here and was surprised it didn’t show up.
Red treated Hyde more like his son than he did with Eric. And Jackie needed to get a reality check and it was upsetting to see that she never truly got one.
THIS!
Nah she got absolutely butchered when fez put hair dye in her shampoo and told her “now you’re as ugly on the outside, as you are on the inside.”
She did. Fez went in on her.
Nah, fam. Jackie had the most character growth in the series. She started as a spoiled, shallow princess from season 1, to learning the value of friendships, family, work, self-love, ambition, and finding what she needed in a relationship. She was still sassy and narcissistic, but she grew so much more than the rest.
@@thomasj.9686 I almost understand the Jackie hate, because I started off the show disliking her without knowing why. But I was also 16 and couldn't put it into words. Now at 31, I know it's because for the first few seasons, Mila being 3 years younger than any cast member was noticeable and made her feel like an annoying little sister.
But man, her character growth! I mean, she went through a similar story as Hyde: one family member went to jail, the other abandoned her. She went from prim and proper, bankrolled by her rich father until she was sharing a room with Donna. Plus, just every relationship showed her changing: she went from caring more about how her boyfriend affected her status, to caring only how he cared for her.
I truly believe the best way to see if a character's change is visible is to show a newbie the show. Show someone Jackie in season 1 and then the last season. They might not understand her change, but if they went from seeing her disgusted by "the foreign kid" to understanding he truly loves her, they'd know one happened.
I forgot Donna's voice actually cracks when she says she's giving back the ring. That is such a hard gut punch. A realistic sounding voice crack is not easy to do, but when someone pulls it off, it will cause just about any scene to at least get me choked up
I personally though Jackie’s father for being arrested would have made the list. Its heard to see a parent walk away from their child but to see a parent taken away hits a little closer to home for me
this storyline definetely should have made it to the list! definetely more serious than eric and donna's breakup. people only like to forget it because it's a jackie storyline where she is the victim.
I didn't take it too serious because her dad was rich and jackie just talked about not having her dad makes her poor and cut her source of money off. I don't remember them having any real father and daughter talk.
That and her mom immediately left and went all over mexico and south America hitting on men.
Plus, that storyline was never resolved.
Red and Eric's conversation during their hunting just shows that though they don't show it, they still love each other regardless.
When Red says to Hyde “he’s not your” you can tell Red wanted to say “he’s not your father”
4:21 "Stephen, your dad is not..."
You got the line almost completely wrong
When they take Hyde in and red eventually caves is one of my favorite parts of the show. I think Red finally telling Eric he's proud of him/loves him should have been on the list, obvious sure but it's still a major one.
To those who complain about Red’s parenting. We never saw Red fly into a drunken rage or raise a hand against his kids or take out his belt. He loved his wife. Sometimes, a father needs to be hard ass to toughen up his children. You may be angry at first, but you may very well thank them later.
Those complaining about Red's parenting are the very ones that need a parent like Red.
He was a hard ass to be sure, but he was there when they needed him. He wasn't always happy about it, and as much as he wanted that corvette, he still loved his kids, and cared about Eric's friends. He knew all of their names, agreed to adopt Hyde, despite the financial situation, etc.
Would you rather have a hard ass you can count on, an absentee father, an imprisoned father? Bob is of course an option too, but Red was just as much a father to Donna as Bob was, just in his own way.
the biggest problem I have with his character is that he treats his daughter much better than his son. and is completely blind to her manipulation and bad character
@@gerarduspoppel2831 Yeah, she milked the 'Daddy's Little Girl' act for all it was worth. But I can read Red's harshness towards Eric as worry that his son doesn't have the fortitude to roll with the punches.
@@gerarduspoppel2831 Back then, mother’s were expected to be the disciplinarians for daughters-so, yeah; Laurie got away with shit when it came to Red, but Kitty was usually there to curb her worst behavior and/or remind Red he was being a hypocrite with her.
Then again, Laurie was also an adult-as the seasons went on-who had sugar daddies all around town, so it’s not like she *needed* her parents.
(And Red did eventually catch her hooking up with some dude, so it’s not like she got off completely free lmao)
Red: Be honest. What do you think of me?
Eric: How about we dont do this while you have a gun...
"How 'bout you do what the guy with the gun tells you to do" 😆
Ashton Kutcher is so intelligent that its hard to remember him as Kelso. It's mind boggling to me!
I miss watching the show when it was syndicated in my country (I didn't get to watch it on Netflix).
Jackie and Hyde were so good together because Jackie was soooo toxic to kind, simple minded Kelso and Fez. Hyde somehow made her personality grounded.
I hate season 8
For me that was the shows worst decision and she telling him she didn't love him really didn't make sense cause she changed for Hyde, don't let me start on that whole Fez..... Thing holy shit
There will really never be a other show this damn good that hits the heart the same way. Experiencing it as a young tween and kinda graduating hs with it is probably one of my favorite millennial perks haha
Same! Growing up with this show is an amazing experience. I probably wouldn't love this show as much if I didn't go through the throes of young adulthood alongside the cast.
Red is no doubt the best dad and overall great man on TV.
#6 is kind of what I'm going through rn. On the one end I feel like I need to finally leave my folks' place and get a place of my own. On the other, I know I can't leave because my folks still need me, and I don't want to leave until I know that they can take care of themselves financially.
Coming from someone whose favorite show is Friends, That 70s Show is really underrated
What about the time Hyde's father left and Eric kept asking where he is and Hyde said I can't tell you because he won't tell me
Red is the father we all wish we had.
When I saw no. 2, I kept scratching my head wondering what no. 1 is. Thanks for this list, Ms Mojo. I love this show to death.
They have the most consistent uploads
Everyone in this show was simply amazing, their joy and their pain were real just as if we were there right next to them experiencing it with them. This show will always be my favorite and the best show in my opinion. I laugh with every episode and enjoy it no matter how many times I watch it.
The scenes when Red shows his more caring and compassionate side remind me so much of my dad...
the 10th one hits home for me u cant stay with sb who makes you feel bad. the 9th one shows when you have sb that really loves u, never take it for granted. the 2nd is just ugh mann.
Please do dark moments of the George Lopez show 😊
Whoo! Dang man! This show isn’t afraid of having some serious moments
I got a copy of the hunting script at the show taping.
I remember watching the Fez and Nina one as I kid. I laughed when her dad said “you can’t be her boyfriend because you’re different” because Fez is kinda weird quirky. I didn’t realize he was talking about race until now as a man in his 30s.
That '90s Show will never hit these Moments, sadly.
The chemistry too. I like Leia. I'm not too sure about all the other characters. Besides Red & Kitty.
One of my favorite shows and this had some sad moments
I hope Nina comes back in That 90s Show. She and Fez was perfect
My favorite thing about this whole video is how they overly describe everything when they could have just let the clips speak for themselves.
Forgot the part where Hyde apoligizes to Kelso for being in a relationship with Jackie. That shit hit home.
reminds me of alot of the similar moments "Titus" had. it should get a list of its own touching/serious moments.
Season 2, episode 2 - “Red’s Last Day”
Red gets laid off after the plant closes. On his last day, Red goes to drink at the bar. There’s some very funny stuff when the boys show up and get drunk with Red. But when Kitty comes to take Red home, they have the following exchange. Gets me every time.
Kitty: You know we’re gonna get through this.
Red: Yeah.
Kitty: Oh, heck, we’ve been through worse times than these.
Red: Just for the fun of it, Kitty….when was that?
It was so weird to see Betty White, even for a second
RIP
Red & Kitty were more parents than my parents… at times.
I learned there are 7 stages of grievances from that episode.
I miss this show.
Woo go that 70s. Just here to say how much I love it and it’s favorite sitcom of all time. I will say that Seinfeld is the best/greasy sitcom of all time but I grew up with that 70s show and it will always be favorite. Just minus season 8
That wasn’t Hyde’s real father. He met him in season 7.
Kelso cheated because he's a cheater and that's what cheaters do. On a completely separate note, Jackie should not have treated him badly.
Love this show
Jonathan Kent and Red Foreman are the best TV dads
I need to be able to watch this show again
R.I.P Betty White 😔😢
Betty!!!!
"Fez isn't treated with much cultural sensitivity" YES but WHAT culture is he though!? We are now on a sequel series but they still won't say 😆 I honestly don't have any idea, his accent could be from southeast asia or easter Europe or anywhere.
Topher was the best part of the series and the best actor.
They need to bring this back it was on Netflix for a minute
Can't forget Red giving Eric his pocket knife...
When I first watched Eric and Donna's breakup, I was on Eric's side. Now I'm on Donna's side. I also like the scene where Donna tries to get back together with Eric after Luke Wilson's character dumps her.
There's an episode where Red's war buddy is revealed to be a swinger, and Red judges him for that. I don't like that. Other people's choices about their personal life are not ours to judge.
Kelso was a genius who just started smoking weed, and dumbed himself down.
that 70s show is the greatest sitcom ever.
What would have made that scene with Eric and Red hunting better if Red had been like, well I will let you know if you are right one day.
best show OAT
Make a Best DreamWorks Heroes top.
Good show.
Cory and Topanga break up was worse!
Kitty is the best TV mom of all time.
"It's real easy to talk about the right thing to do when it's not your life." A very profound statement from Kelso, and at least he actually stepped up to be there for Brooke and Betsy, as opposed to being a deadbeat.
That was some really good development for kelso. He may have been an idiot and cheated on Jackie but he did the one thing that a mature guy his age would do STEP UP
how on earth do you show up in every comment section
@@tobiaslawrence8928 that is a fact! Most people today deny it or they end finding out it's not their kid but Kelso made the choice to move closer and raise his daughter with someone who he actually cares about
Deadbeat fathers are still a problem today but not the only reason kids grow up in broken homes,in the 70’s a women couldn’t keep their kid from their dad modern day women get paid for it
@@david-468 how do they get paid for it when the majority of them live in poverty
Red loved his kids. He's just from an era where men didn't say I love you, they proved it. I found it to be an authentic poryrayal for a sitcom.
It's a shame that it didn't progressed since then
Oh,really, when? He didn't take Hyde in,kitty did. Hyde got mad and cursed up a storm at the idea.
@@lexkanyima2195 he did progress tho it wasnt until eric left to africa where he finally thought to himself I raised my kids right so im gonna let my guard down and say it once so he knows it means something 💯
@@598superchris it was his call. It’s an accurate portrayal of a man doing the right thing despite its going to be hard. Red was struggling financially and didn’t need another kid but he couldn’t just let Steven become a state ward. He knew what he had to do but didn’t know how.
@@andersoncontreras183 are you sure ?
Red and Kitty don’t get enough credit, they were easily one of the best, if not the best, sitcom parents of tv.
Red has always been my favorite tv dad. Between him and Randy Marsh I dont think ive ever laughed harder at sitcom dads and their one liners lol
The mom kitty is,but red is a heartless jerk.
@@598superchris no he not. He someone that grew a bit bitter because of all his hardships. But in the end he loves his familie and does the right things when it come to it.
@@ethane6891 exactly he’s fought in wars of course he’s not gonna be the most heartfelt person especially when his dad wasn’t but when he family really needed him he was always there. People have different ways of showing love
Uncle Phil and aunt Viv too
The scene where Eric realizes he has to stay and postpone his life is truly heartbreaking…you know he’s doing what he has to do and it’s just sad to see him have to go through it, great acting by Topher Grace
I did things in my life for other people, whenever I see this clip it's heartbreaking. Reminds me of the things and people I lost. It never goes well on my end and nobody can see or understand it.
My mother postponed my life until I was 27, so seeing him go through that really hits home for me. Underrated part of the show.
It's accurate too. I completely understand the situation he's in, and it just kills me to see that scene.
@@SleepyFawn i know what you mean my mom was perfectly happy to keep me forever and i had no dad so i didn't build up my confidence enough to leave until i was 30, its extremely rough delaying adult-hood for that long "i have to leave" was all that really kept going through my head in the years leading up to my eventual move.
I cried hard because it happened to me. Deciding to stay when you know you can't because you feel you need to be there.
Red was a good dad. He was tough at times, but he cared about everyone.
He was one of the best. I felt like he was a better dad to Eric and Hyde than he was to Laurie tho
He reminds me of my step-dad who I call dad more then my real dad because real dad wasn't their. He always was willing to teach me and my friends
He really wasn't that tough. At all. Especially for the time period.
yep
@@reedharrington6954 Laurie was his favorite. So he gave her a lot of leeway, and that's also likely why he was so hard on Eric.
Eric and Donna's breakup was sad, but at least Eric tried to plan for the future. Donna never tried to incorporate Eric in any of her plans and often saw him as an obstacle to her goals. While Eric did get worse as a character over time, Donna was the one who never wanted to work with Eric about the future
That scene will forever kill me
Will never forgive the show for how they treated Eric the follow up season after their breakup
With that season 03 finale, I agree. Donna too easily closed off Eric from her lofty ambitions. For the rest of the series though? Not really. Donna became more actively involved about their future when they got back together and got engaged. She actually stayed behind for Eric. Hell, she never even left Point Place.
Absolute facts, I remember seeing those episode n the actual truth about how she really felt for him.
It was actually heartbreaking coz he's under the assumption (understandably so) they they would still be together possibly even married in the future.
Where as her, the mear thought of leaving town going off to college she immediately thought I don't want him anymore I'll find better, or at least different. Was quite hard to watch.
Eric was a emotional dependant of Donna, they were 17 and planning their future. Donna was always right
I really love the scene where Kitty walks in on her mother crying after her father's death, then not knowing how to handle it, pretends not to notice and goes to hug Eric instead. Kitty always makes sure to be open about her emotions and show everyone how much she loves them because her mother never did either for her when she was growing up, so when she finally sees her mother show real grief, you can see how much it breaks her inside. Stellar acting from everyone involved in the scene!
That's the first thing I thought of today when Betty White passed.
@@jaynekranc8607 same
Rip Betty White🙏🏽🙏🏽😫
Not saying I don't LOVE Kitty, but she always treated Laurie the same awful way she was treated by her own mother. Maybe the reason Laurie grew into the person she was? She never really got the development or backstory that the other characters did, but her dysfunctional relationship with Kitty always hit me pretty hard. There are moments when you can see how badly she wants her mother's love and approval, and how much it hurts her to not have it.
Eric saying he won’t be Donnas second choice after she split up with Kasey and ran back to Eric hit hard for me
Then Kitty gets caught eavesdropping. Funny AF😆
Yeah that was hella awkward for Eric and I don't blame him at all.
I also like the follow up when red gave him his two cent. It was harsh but true
Good relationship dilemma. I was on Red and Kitty's side! Not only was Eric being proud, but he was oversimplifying the situation. Casey was Donna's rebound. And Eric had broken up with Donna.
Saying Eric broke up with Donna in itself is an oversimplifying their situation. He thought they were meant to be together. He thought they would get married, have kids and do all the things that couples do until death. He said as much when he offered Donna the promise ring. She did not. So what is the logical course of action here? Put yourself in Eric's shoes in that moment. Say what you want but Donna gave their relationship a killing blow when she turned down his ring like that. At that point Eric ending the relationship was like a doctor giving the time of death.
I still can't forgive this show for making Eric the bad guy when he broke up with Donna.
See, I don't think they made him the bad guy , I think they played it real , the communication wasn't there as with most young couples and they couldn't take the gravity of the situation, eventhough the feelings were there , so they split.
They made it realistic. Neither him or Donna were at fault in their breakup.
He made himself the bad guy he didn’t want to be a part of the show anymore …the whole cast would hang out and he wouldn’t eric ruined this show at the end
@@views5663 which guy you talking about. Eric or Topher?
Well, he's the dumbass. Who else is going to be the bad guy?
8:58 It's been less than a day since Betty White passed away and this scene will always hit so much harder now that such a great actress is no longer with us. RIP, Mrs. White, you will forever be missed.
This show needs to find a streaming home. I miss it. 😢

I always like how they handled Fez dealing with Racism. Yeah Red and the gang poke fun at him but there’s a big difference between friends having harmless fun at each others expense and strangers being malicious towards him and using his race against him, that’s true Racism.
I could not agree more
You nailed it man
Fez isn't about racism. The character is about xenophobia.
@@alphanerd7221 That too, but his skin tone is brown and dark as well.
So both can apply.
@@barbicel Conflating the two is not wise. Fez was made fun of becuase he didn't know what was appropriate where he was. It wasn't about ethnicity, which was never even established. Red calls him "the foreign kid," xenophobia.
It's funny how Ashton and Mila are now a real life married couple
and now part of me wonders if the roleplay
Ashton apparently spoke out about the kiss with Mila, which make me respect him if true.
Not to mention when Eric leaves for Africa and he and Red hug. Hyde and Red's hug was impactful but this hug also shows Red's love for Eric, despite what his hardass parenting style can portray sometimes
I love how Red isn't a hardass all the time. There are times where he comes across as a caring husband and father.
He’s a hard ass until it comes to Kitty, then he turns to puddy lol
Like a wise man once said. An Ass is an absolute basterd because he can. A hardass is an basterd that cares

Another one that comes to mind is after Red's heart attack, when the doctor is doing an at home consultation to find the source of the stress that may have led to it, he blames Eric because of tension between him and Red and his constant snark and sarcasm. Red's then chews the doctor out for daring to blame his son and demands he leaves. It is especially poinent considering it is in the middle of one of the worst points in Red and Eric's relationship following Eric's decision to marry Donna out of high school.
I was happy as hell when Kelso finally stood up to Jackie.
By excusing his cheating ? But couldn’t move on when Jackie kiss a guy? Lmfaooo
^ The cheating came-at least as Kelso implies-as the result of prolonged emotional abuse, which may not have ever been extreme in any one instance, but over time became insufferable for him. Jackie “cheated” out of envy and spite when Kelso got work doing a job she always wanted and paid her less attention because of it. Kelso was a dumb, childish horn dog, but Jackie was a condescending, egotistical, manipulator.
That 70's show was ahead of his time, a story we will be telling to our grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Another moment would be when Hyde found out his father was wasn't really his father.
Forgot that Betty was Kitty's mom. RIP you legend!
One of the most serious: when President Ford is coming to town and Red starts complaining to Kitty and Eric about how bad the situation has become for the regular working stiff.
Sad fact: midge only left because her actress's husband's health was declining. Also apparently her actress died in January.
Apparently?

Not only was this show near-perfectly casted, the writing was spot on balancing humor and occasionally more serious stuff. Even though I was a teen in the 80's much of the banter and comradery (and boyfriend/girlfriend swaps) was very much a part of my time period too. Great show and I never pass up re-watching it when I can.

Jackie and Hyde should have been together they made the best couple. They brought out the best in each other.
The same episode that Kelso breaks up with Jackie. I like it when Eric and Kelso are in the basement and Kelso tells Eric his older brother is bad news and will hurt Donna in the end and that what Eric and Donna had was real compared to him and jackie.
"He screamed at me foreman, he really screamed at me"
Says hyde as he gets cookies and milk in a safe home 🤣
Probably my favorite Eric moment was when he put his dad in his place when red was freaking out if kitty could be pregnant. And red respected for him for it
