I’m an auctioneer and it is VERY common practice for people to approach a winning bidder and make them an offer after a sale. I’ve never seen anyone object to it. An auction, a flea market, an estate sale, a garage sale, they are all about wheeling and dealing and who gets there first. It’s a perfectly acceptable thing.
I just love to watch your videos…..but I hate it that you have to worry about “haters” coming after you about stuff. You both are so very sweet and kind. Keep up the good work. ❤
I agree, homeowners associations are the pits! Lived in one in AZ, and will never live in another! Just bought 12 acres in PA and nobody can tell me what to do and not do with my property, ever again!
Hi you can try this because it works on Rubbermaid plastic type food containers. Put water and a few drops of dish liquid, off brands work fine, put paper towel in container and give a shake. You will be shocked,at least with plastics.
I love your shows and appreciate your honesty. The lady asked for $20each can ($40 total) but negotiated down to $30 total I’m guessing because of you and who you are. She gave you a deal 😊. I think I would have sent the new guy to her to give her the better price. There were three people in that deal. I know ….. I’m crazy ! Still enjoy your videos …. Thanks for the time involved. Great discussion points ❤
those blue cornflower dishes will still sell, or if your worried about the white dish parts, sell just the lids, i do it all the time, lids will sell and make money still!
I think you were nice to offer the Sinclair oil can. You told him you were going to flip it. So you made some money and he got a fairly good deal, and did not have to wait for you to clean it and then list it. He would have then had to pay shipping as well. Enjoy your videos.
Do not understand why you needed to explain at all. Reselling is your job. One of the goals of any jobs is to make money. That is that. Good for you - did not have to list it, ship it- saved time and effort.- but still made a profit.
I would've sold the can too. I would've however, met the guy afterward, outside of the sale and made the deal. But, it seems you know the people well that have the estate sales and they didn't have a problem with it. So, no big deal. I've had people try and buy something that I have in my goodwill cart a few times. If I were selling to turn a profit I would have no problem meeting them outside and selling it to them. But, mine was for personal use, like a kitchenaid mixer. Several people wanted to buy from me. They were resellers. lol But, I had wanted one forever and she sits proudly in my kitchen and I love her. Another time was also a kitchenaid, actually Hobart mixer. It is an old one and I paid 15 bucks for it. Built like a tank. But, the newer one is the platinum shiny one and lives on my countertop for regular use. I've been buying dvds of my favorite movies too. I don't like being dependent on streaming a movie. It's nice to have a hard copy, and I love a good movie. Thanks for taking us along. Lots of great find by you and Jessica.
There are a vintage pair of pliers from the Boy Scouts (marked) that have a little hook at the bottom for lifting pots out of campfires. They sell for at least $40+ each. Keep your eyes open. (also, why do we say "a pair of pliers?" It's ONE tool!)
Goof off is garbage. Lighter fluid. My mom used it always, as my dad was a roofer. took Tar off of everything. Even carpet. I used it instead of goof off. Works 100xbetter and uses less.
Dustin you bought again a while the vintage 90s The jingle bell rock Santa!90's Christmas decorative items are so unique man always bring me a smile everytime you find these ones and lucky for us quite often.
I totally agree with buying DVDs and blurays!! I'll never get rid of my hard copies of movies/TV shows. I have 3 bookcases full but you just can't rely on streaming services to always have them.
Yeah, minor spoiler for a future video but Babylon 5 was pulled off Max even though they own it and it's only available on a service with ads. Thankfully this weekend I got the whole set and the movies for 20 bucks.
Good job on the sell of the oil can at the estate/yard sale. People do it all the time. You may have been able to have gotten a little more from him. 😊
You gave him a great deal on the Sinclair can. He's happy, you're happy. I have great results with Barkeepers friend on utensil marks on dishes; it might work on those marks.
Love the content! You guys are fun to watch and always polite. I don't know if it's the resolution on your GoPro or what, but a bunch of your videos have blurry spots. Just thought I'd let you know in case you were not aware. Keep up the good work guys! 😊
Sometimes the lens can fog up on occasion. If you're seeing a lot of blurring I'm not sure what could be causing that besides bitrate issues. I do blur out certain people in the video so that could be it too. Anyhow, I appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching!!
@mopickin1 You are good for reselling at the sale. I have bought and sold items at sales many times myself. I have even made an offer to the person who outbid me on singular items in the box. I made an offer after I ask what they were after and if it was not the item I wanted we're good. They usually sell it to me at much less than what I was willing to give for the whole box. Sometimes we're after the same item and then I congratulate them on their purchase. I like that metal 7UP soda bottle carrier, but it looks like you passed on it. Wonder what it was priced at? I remember those from when I was a stockboy at my dad's grocery store when I was a kid.
Great video, guys! When you were picking out the Pyrex from the shelves, there was a 7-up aluminum pop bottle carrier right in front on the middle shelf! These are highly collectible and worth some good money! Cheers from East Coast of Canada!
You and Jess had an amazing sales day. You both picked up good things, and the way you work the job works is really good for your business because you both go out to different places and find more then you would together same place! I think Jess is doing really well at picking! As far as your deal, the lady was happy, the guy was happy. Who cares what people say?
Yeah. I'll sit in my car so long as no other cars pull up. As soon as I see another car slowing down, I get right out and get in line before they can get out of the car.
You could have got more on that can but with a lot of time listing and shipping etc. it was fair that you sold it to him. He approached you! If he didn’t it wouldn’t have been cool to sell it there
Hello, you both do great and your videos are so much fun to watch. Anyway you can make a sale is fair. One other thing I have noticed in your videos, a sweep attached to the bottom of your exterior door might help with your bugs, breezes and mice issues. I live in East Central Illinois, we know about those three issues. Both your channels ROCK!😃
Jason try a Mr. Clean dry eraser for the Pyrex it should work very well. 😊I thought that was cool making a deal at an estate sale (no big deal) he didn’t seem to mind! Otherwise, he wouldn’t have bought the old gasoline can. It was cool 😎 Now Jessica outdid herself this day it would be to long to list everything. Those 2 Halloween lighted decorations for outside was a huge find as everything else was. Have a fabulous week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
If you really want something, you gotta sacrifice sleep! Ive gone more than 8+ hours waiting early in line. My area is very competitive lol you didnt do anything wrong.
I was like, She’s not gonna pick up the Jack & Sally?!”. Then she turned around and asked about it…whew!😥 It doesn’t bother me that you made a “sub-deal” at the sale, but maybe you could’ve gave the guy the can without the lady seeing the exchange. She semi-jokingly made a little comment about it, but she may have been more than just a little disturbed by it. A flashlight can help in dark rooms or conditions, but 💩 happens…
Love your videos. I've learned alot and getting ready to start selling on eBay. Just getting a small inventory going and all of the shipping supplied first. I'm sorry if I haven't seen it yet if you have one but a video showing your set up you use to video like go pro or head or body harness or mire than one camera at a time.
I bought something off of someone that had bought an item at an estate sale before it was a gameboy sp with a copy of of Pokemon silver and at the time the game was going for around $100 and the gameboy I think around $100 as well give or take anyway guy bought it for $10 and I followed him to his truck and ended up buying it for $50 lol
the side deal was fine cause it was an estate sale from a company running it. if you did it in front of some old lady on her property at a garage sale that would be poor form
How do people make any money on eBay selling books/movies for $6-$7 FREE shipping? Shipping on media mail is now $4.13 Minimum plus eBay fees. I have been stumped on how they do this for a long time. Some even sell books for $3 free shipping. They’d be losing money.
I believe a lot of those people have a volume shipping deal. Even then, it's still a numbers game where they plan to sell so many for a small profit and hope it adds up enough to be worth it.
heh, your a flipper. its what you do i cannot phantom why someone would feel it was wrong. like you said, you got there early for the line up, so you got paid for your time.

Always get the lots of rubber stamps. Can go for $50.0 to $300.0. Individually you can get $4.00 to $40.00 if vintage 9:51

Thank you!
Man I am so glad you went back for Jack and Sally!
I agree, homeowners associations are the pits! Lived in one in AZ, and will never live in another! Just bought 12 acres in PA and nobody can tell me what to do and not do with my property, ever again!
Yeah, it's definetly nice having a piece of land to yourself without a HOA.
Hi you can try this because it works on Rubbermaid plastic type food containers. Put water and a few drops of dish liquid, off brands work fine, put paper towel in container and give a shake. You will be shocked,at least with plastics.
Enjoy your streams 😌 time is precious, you are making an honest living treasure hunting - enjoy your business with no regrets 😊
Great flip I see nothing wrong with it he got a deal and you made a quick flip it was a win win ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ll do it , but maybe not in front of the original seller and definitely not in her property. Like outside on street or something.
7:25 Love it 😄
I love your shows and appreciate your honesty.

Try oven cleaner on your Pyrex. It will get the deepest crust off. Been using it for years and my Pyrex is crystal clear.
Dustin do what you do,it’s your job and you made the man very happy!😍
those blue cornflower dishes will still sell, or if your worried about the white dish parts, sell just the lids, i do it all the time, lids will sell and make money still!
Nothing wrong with the quick flip on the oil can. It was a win, win for both of you
Try white shaving cream. Leave it on 10 - 15 min. You can only use it on white items.
If I think of something for the scratches, I’ll let you know.

Don’t stop using that blue ikea bag. The sound of it crinkling up is like ASMR for me
We have a ton of vhs and dvd and our collection keeps growing.

You do Dusty and dont worry about what they say. Have a Blessed Week
You did great! Who cares about the negative people and comments. Love your videos!!❤❤
I think you did a great deal on the can who cares where you are when you sold it good for you 👍
Great finds, way to flip the oil can before leaving😊.
Ive done the same thing a few times dont feel bad. Its your business literally. Great video
Thanks!
2:50 there was a white nuwave pizza oven under the table. that can go for around $100
Yeah, we have a bit of a backlog on them and I find the ones that aren't the black pro models sell a bit slower.
I love the Jack and Sally!!!
Reselling is the name of the game. You were just doing what comes naturally. 😁
There are a vintage pair of pliers from the Boy Scouts (marked) that have a little hook at the bottom for lifting pots out of campfires. They sell for at least $40+ each. Keep your eyes open. (also, why do we say "a pair of pliers?" It's ONE tool!)

😊 doing what you do!
I am in love with the giant Stay Puft marshmallow man at the Halloween garage sale!

A dollar is a dollar no matter how you have to make it ! Good going I would have done the same as you reselling it !

I think it was 10 on the 7up deal there. If I'm remembering correctly.

Sell on, its` what you do don`t be too hard on yourself , both parties were happy
You got it first. So good for you. As far as waiting in your car and someone jumps out, you lose, gotta be in line

Holy cow, I have one of those oil cans in my shed, but I'm not sure the brand. Probably not a popular brand, it came with this house when I bought it.
Jason try a Mr. Clean dry eraser for the Pyrex it should work very well. 😊I thought that was cool making a deal at an estate sale (no big deal) he didn’t seem to mind! Otherwise, he wouldn’t have bought the old gasoline can. It was cool 😎

Try bar keepers friend or a dry erase sponge on the corning ware
Everyone seemed happy with the oil can sale to win win. We love Larry Boy but never seen one that big in Australia.
Awesome flip!
Scratching should come off with mr clean magic eraser, or soft scrub.
Bar keepers friend get those scratches off! My dad uses it on dishes all the time
If you really want something, you gotta sacrifice sleep! Ive gone more than 8+ hours waiting early in line. My area is very competitive lol you didnt do anything wrong.
I like your shirt Dustin good finds guys 😊
Thanks Debby!
I love it that you sold it on the spot.

Try barkeepers friend on those casserole dishes. Works like a charm. Powder is best.
I have totally done that at an estate sale in the past

5:33 "Hey Alexa you want to take some money" I thought he was joking by asking the gadget that
Yeah, that took me back a second as well until I realized it was her name.
Can you order a remote(📱) for the boat? @@propicker
Me too, LOL

Clean it up then take a air compressor and put air inside help take some of the dent out.
That's an interesting idea. I'll have to look into trying that
😅good for you and good luck
Try Barkeepers Friend with or without a magic eraser on the Pyrex casserole dishes. May help. Love your videos!😀👍🏻❤️
Love your Mario shirt 🔥
U got a chance to sell something..go for it..that’s great.
You should've grabbed the 7up bottle carrier next to the corning ware!
you should try bar keepers on those corelle
Those Sinclair can go for $100-$150 Each
I would think the Daiwa reel will sell quick since it's new condition.
10:05 would have gave up that yard sale right there
Best thing would have been to sell the oil cans together i think
Yeah in hindsight just getting rid of the marathon would have been ideal.
Nice deal on the Sinclair! :D
Thanks!
👍
Use a soft sponge with ciff cleaner or magic sponge
Breaking nearly 70K, you're doing ok. Get the money when you can, here and now,
.
I would have sold the can.😊
try some baking soda on the corning ware
the side deal was fine cause it was an estate sale from a company running it. if you did it in front of some old lady on her property at a garage sale that would be poor form
I think that it is okay to make a deal - but I would have given him the Sinclair can away from the sale.
Yeah, I probably should have waited a bit longer. It was pretty obvious though I was doing a deal after he asked at the front though.
@@propicker I know - I would have not done in front of the sales rep.
I can't believe they priced it by disc when it's clearly only valuable as a set! Lol
The Nightmare before christmas sells high

It's your job. Never apologize for making a profit. Out of respect, though, I would do my business outside of the sale proper.
Sorry I meant Dustin
Did you try a magic eraser on handles of the Corning Ware?
Haven't tried that, might give it a shot!
Frank ok American pickers would love them cans hes a oil and gas can guy😅😅
Yeah, I thought about that when buying them haha
Sucks he's no longer on the show. Something nasty went down
New to your channel, good for you to making a quick buck. Nice finds. Got a like from me and a new subscriber. 👍
Thank you! Glad you found the channel and enjoyed the video!
The people that have a problem with you making a deal with him obviously don’t resell 😂
I have over 3000 dvds so I don't have to use any of the streaming apps to watch movies or TV series
That's cool! I'm starting off being very selective but who knows, it could grow pretty quickly haha
@@propicker I started picking up the ones I grew up with and it grew out of hand real quick.
Who cares if you made a deal there, that’s what you do for a living! If they don’t like it they must not understand the way things work, sorry 😢
