    The 10 of swords is also stalking me all the time! I see it as a card of ego death, pushing the reset button on your identity. When I pull it, I see it as me achieving a new stage in my healing journey or I discover a new layer to my personality that would only happen if I let go of preconceived conceptions of myself.

      agreed! this is such a cool interpretation. it’s officially added to my view on this card - it definitely adds to my view of its liminality. ego death and new layers of self coming forth is such a deep rite of passage with lightness and darkness all wrapped up in it. i see the key as you said: the letting go! ugh sooo good thanks for sharing that 🤍🤍

    Thank you for sharing the Dust to Onyx deck. It has a cherished place in my collection-particularly my "melanated" decks. Once I saw it on kickstart I supported its creation. When it finally arrived I was not disappointed. It is an important deck since to me it is grounded in the historical experience of African Americans during the Middle Passage. I really feel the touch of my ancestors when I work with it. I also have the Handl and Spirit Keeper's. All of these are worthy of deep study. Wonderful video.

      oh how cool, i wish i could have supported DIIO at its inception! i feel you 100% its historical voice is so important. and ancestral decks are a must. the depth of these decks is what makes them the best for me! now i just always have to make sure i’m spending the appropriate time to study and listen. ✨ thanks for being here 🤎

    Hey, I'm just modding a deck and playing my to warch later playlist. ❤
    Mmmm I got to the Handil and you nearly sold me on it. 😂 I bought this deck way too early in my tarot journey and I was just learning the RWS system, the images were too faint for me, I couldn't connect with what R. Pollack was putting down in her guidebooks. I was cautious around the choice of courts from various cultures around the world, 'appropriation' and 'white man guilt' kept whispering in my ear. However, now - years down the line, hmmm🤔. I am able to look at it with a zoomed out lense, I am a lot more circumspect about it. If one crosses my path again, then maybe.

    Thank you so much for aiding me on my quest to my first deck!
    I'm going to start with a cheap vintage Marseille tarot, before going into RWS Conrad Steyn and Thoth (lightly); Herman Haindl's deck is probably where I'll land on the RWS front, as the diversity of rooting speak to the work I do myself (writing a book which pulls as well from diverse sources)
    I'd go for the Spirit Keeper's, as the approach seemed so authentic and cohesive, but it's so much more expensive haha
    Safe travels!

    First of all, I love your Hilma af Klint tapestry! Second I am glad that the Haindl tarot is getting some love. It seems that recently tarot tubers were appreciating older decks. There had been a resurgence of decks like The Aquarian and Morgan Greer. During that Renaissance I never saw anybody showing some love to the Haindl. I am glad you love it.
    I only have a couple of the decks that you do. I think in a way it is detrimental
    To have so many decks out there now. There is such and onslaught that too many decks get overlooked and too many get set aside in a minute so we can look at the new ones coming out. It was lovely to see you have very thoughtful comments about your decks.
    The side commentary was delightful. You just got a new subscriber.

      thank you so much, i'm glad you're here 🌸 absolutely, the haindl was love at first sight! i want to do more videos with it but its such an investment deck - it requires a lot in my personal time, not to mention when coming onscreen haha.
      and yes, i tend to agree, i think there is an oversaturation of decks now, it's hard to find alignment when there's so much coming out one after another - not to mention cultivate deep connection. don't get me wrong, i value the beauty and creativity that we get from people who wouldn't have otherwise made decks in the past, but it's a rough thing to have just this many.
      thank you for sharing! again, glad to have you 🌿🖤

    Stumbled upon your channel and so glad I did. My favorite black and white deck is the Tarot of the Abyss by Anna Tourian. The Heirophant is renamed... The Wise One. Thanks for sharing.

      ooh welcome in! ✨ that deck is quite beautiful and very deep. i don’t have it (yet!) so i didn’t remember the hierophant being the wise one, i love that! i think of that word in connection with the hermit as well, and they live that wisdom in very different ways. thank you for being here and for sharing ✨🌸

    Great video! I have never seen the dust to onyx tarot before. It’s stunning! It is now on my wish list.
    I have kind of an odd request… I am very much of a tea person just like it seems you are. But I make my tea one cup at a time in a pretty traditional manner, whereas it seems like you do it in small little 2 ounce cups. I’m very curious about your tea making process. If you ever have any interest in showing that in one of your videos, I personally would love to see it.

      yes DIIO stunning deck indeed! also not an odd request at all. i’d be happy to discuss my tea process and practice! i’ve been wanting to but unsure what that would look like so i appreciate you asking. i’ve already started writing some notes and ideas for the video. it may take some time to plan, film, and edit - but i have now put it up on the list!🌸🌞🍃

    You are so right about the energy of the Ritual Tarot. It's been my experience too that the energy is too big to use it for "just anything". It genuinely feels like it doesn't WANT to be. Your comment about it being very temporal is so spot on too. Loved hearing your analysis of all of these others as well!

    • @everonward.
      @everonward.  3 месяца назад +1

      so glad you feel me on that! yes it’s like the ritual knows what it wants and what its purpose is - it’s nice to have that clarity and personality in a deck. and thanks being here and sharing, glad you enjoyed the video ❤️❤️

    I have the Lua Tarot but have a hard time using it because I haven't found its purpose and I like pairing tarot with Oracle and haven't found a good pairing yet. Do you have one? How and when do you use it?

    • @everonward.
      @everonward.  3 месяца назад +1

      ooh great question - honestly i haven’t found a visual match that excites me. it’s just one of those decks that gets paired based on energy and content of the reading, otherwise i use it alone. the ones i have tried and enjoyed are my trimmed borderless thoth and the reclaim oracle. i can’t think of any other standouts in this moment. i’ve used it for a lot, i think it’s suited for a large scope of topics bc of the RWS foundation. i’ve enjoyed a lot of conversational readings as opposed to spreads. i like talking through a situation with the deck like i would a friend (its always felt like a friend to me). so i chat and ask questions as i get responses. with the reclaim oracle, i found it to be really honest and loving, helping me through some tough relationships and emotions. because i’ve seen my family in it, i’ve used it for ancestor and family readings, as well as work and creativity. i tend to associate it with the heart chakra - i called my heart deck for a while (as compared to a soul deck). i wonder if you’ve done a deck interview with it? that usually helps me gauge my personal relationship with a deck, or at least get a starting point to figuring a deck out. if i struggle with that, i also like to write down words and connections i have within the deck, that helps me to gather my feelings and see if there’s a common thread or theme that emerges. 🩵🩵 i hope that helps! let me know if you have any more questions!
