I was recently diagnosed with this condition. The pain went away after a round of antibiotics and my eye went back into place before I started the steroids but I am still experiencing some symptoms.

I have THS - diagnosed 26th June 2011. I now also have IIH diagnosed September 2012. I have a VP shunt fitted into my plural cavity and am under the NHNN. If you wanted to contact me as I’m deemed by London as an ‘impossible statistic’ please do. Regards Frances Marley

I am diagnosed with this condition, suffering vertical double vision for almost two month and my left eye cannot move side to side. The doctor gives me a shot of steriod to ease the pain. The pain around my eyes and also the headache have gone but still the double vision is present. Hope anyone can give me any advices about this syndrome. Thank you so much ☺️☺️

hi dianne. my husband was also diagnosed by THS. He's also suffering from pain and double vision. He's given oral cortico steroids, pain was gone. But double vision is present too. Im wondering since your comment is 4mos ago, do u still have the double vision up to now? Or it came back to normal? if so, how long is the recovery. Thank you

Hello . Sorry for the very late reply. I’m fully recovered right now. And everything goes back to normal. My doctor just gave me steroids for medication and every slowly goes well. My doctor told me this sickness still hasn’t any proper medication and steroids is the option that we can do that time. After a couple of months, everything goes well. Thank God 😇 Still need to take good care because my doctor told I could get a relapse. But thank God It’s been a year and everything is okay. Just avoid being stress that’s the number 1 thing that triggers this condition. Hoping and praying your husband is doing well

How to treat this problem? I can't achieve remission in any way. MRI is normal. Doctors don't know how to treat it. Doctor what helps and what is the cause of this disease?

Hi Olga, not a Dr but was diagnosed with it recently, after months on prednisone my vision came back, headache was gone.
HOWEVER, that was then and this is now, reduced the dosage and it all came back. I'm in the same boat as you.
Would love to chat with you :)

What is the difference in treatment for Tolosa Hunt in using Imuran vs. Prednisone? My mother has this condition and we are seeking treatment.

Imurane (Azatioprine) gives the same effect of steroids without their terrible side effects (cushing, hypertension, diabetes, psychosis, etc.)
