Haku did the same thing to Sasuke as he did to Zabuza earlier in the arc, he purposely put him in a death like state without actually killing him. Why? Because as Zabuza said, Haku was always too kind.
He was unable to raise his wounded arms to save himself, or to attack others....yet he found the strength to lift his hand to touch Haku's face one last time. Says a lot about who Zabuza was.

As an experiment I suggest you watch this episode again in the original Japenese with English subtitles. I always felt a lot of the meanings were lost in the translation to english dub. Maybe you'll have a different opinion. Have Fun. ;D
Exactly and the tones the original one use like Naruto getting angry and crying is more heart touching than the dubbed one... hearing the original one while seeing thru subs makes it perfect than watching a dubbed version
