Well it is done. It is not pretty but if I am doing 100 down the straight and you are 75 feet away, it looks OK. I was afraid that by the time I cleaned up my cut that it would be too big but instead it was tight. You should have never sucked me in to doing this but thanks for the help.
I'm glad you tried! I used to cut these with an electric dremel and would have to take breaks because it would get so damn hot in my hands. The air grinder has been a godsend but I also have an 80Gal compressor on tap.
This was very helpful but you made it look too easy. It has taken me all day just to do 1 side. I was not aware the back was somewhat attached to the top. I found out that my air compressor is not up to the task and my die grinder just quit after only about 1 foot of grinding. From the looks of that side I could have use an allagator and gotten the same results.
Hey Mr. Jordan! Glad you made it over to my page and checked a video! I have some electric tools and some air tools for good reason. Sometimes the air tools do better, sometimes the electric tools do better. The right tools make the job easier. B)
That would cost a fortune to make the template that big. Cost rises with size, and the template is already quite large and therefore costly. It would also be more difficult to apply accurately if it were that big. No need for that. A couple minutes measuring is all it takes.

How noticeable was the AC improvement in the Texas heat after installing these?

Where are you located. I’m in Los Angeles California. Looking for a good person to work on my Miata
We're out here right outside of Houston, Texas. Our contact info is in the video info section.
why the template maker didn't just go to the edge of the bonnet... would've made it much easier to line up
I try to be glass half full on this - at least they provide a template. I've installed several sets without a single template, diagram, nor anything.
