  • Samsung Note 4 is a flagship Samsung device however Samsung has sold many of these phones with defective motherboards.
    The Problem lies in the Multimediacard on the motherboard and finally the phone bricks and dies with the error “mmc_read failed”
    I faced the same issue and Samsung Service center did not acknowledge the problem and instead tried to bill me a very expensive repair however i decided to fix it myself. I fixed it at a fraction of the cost quoted by Samsung. There is a law suit pending against Samsung and below i the details.
    Pending Law Suit against Samsung :
    www.classlawdc....
    Extract :
    Samsung concealed a known material defect in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 4 Edge from its customers. Specifically, Samsung failed to disclose that the embedded MultiMediaCard (eMMC) memory would prematurely fail, rendering the smartphones inoperable.

    yeah right because the model number N910G(as i can see in 6:53 of your video) are those release for India, Singapore and Australia!...great video, now i know what to do with my note 4 camera failed error(have tried all hard resets and cam replacement yet the problem persist..so it must be the main board..)thanks a lot..

    Thank you for making this video! I just started having this same issue with my Note4 & I had no idea that this many people were having this problem! I have loved my Samsung Phones so far...I had the S3, Note2, and must currently Note4 and have recommended that many friends & family use their products, but I have to say I now have lost respect for them since they knowingly sold defective phones. Anyways, I see that you posted this video almost a year ago now.....if you are still using your Note4, is your phone still working with no problems? I'm thinking about buying a new motherboard to replace mine like you did, but I'm worried that I'll end up with another defective one....do you know how I can increase my chances of getting one free from defects?

      Hi Crystal Ann, i can understand what you feel. I felt the same, ideally a company like Samsung should have recalled the defective phones sold and should have fixed without any charges however they care a damn after the phones are sold.
      Anyways yes my phone is working perfectly fine, to let you know. I wish you good luck, am sure you can fix yours too.

    Nice work.
    Could you give us more details about Android Nugat you have in Note 4? Sammobile has got 6.0.1 as the newest ver for this mobile phone.
    Is the S-pen working with Nugat?

    Hi! I am thinking about replacing my motherboard. I was going to ask, did your S-Pen still work after the replacement?

    after motherboard replacement, would it be safe to upgrade and daily the latest stock 6.0.1? (supposedly this was the cause of failure) i wouldnt want to damage the new one

      ive bought the motherboard myself also, problem now is that whoever refurbished this phone in china added glue BEHIND the motherboard where the case and motherboard meet, so its basicly impossible to open the phone without tearing things up in the inside like spen foil and flex cables, it was clearly done so you cannot open the phone for repair without breaking the screen or something, anyone considering a chinese purchase have this in mind.

    Tks for the video. I intend to fix my Note 4 which just died out on me after just 3 years by getting stuck in a boot loop with just the samsung logo repeating itself over and over again. Factory hard reset, wipe cache and using KIES to update firmware also didn't help as it cannot connect. Motherboard dead I guess and need replacement ? Do i have to reflash firmware after replacing motherboard ?

    • @Liv2Throttle
      @Liv2Throttle  6 лет назад

      Yes you need to re flash because when you buy a pre-owned motherboard on the internet you may receive a Motherboard that was sold in a different country with that country firmware. Example, the mother board that i received was from Australia, and the motherboard had an Australian firmware and i had to re flash it to my country specific firmware.

    Is there a way to check when the motherboard was made? I want fix my phone but I don't want to buy another 2014 motherboard and just postpone the problem. Thank you so much for your video, best wishes from Spain :)

    То что заменил материнскую плату это молодцом! А ты проверил после s pen после ? В большинстве случаев сенсор s pen слетает , приходится отогривать дисплейный модуль . Так что проверь и предупредит остальных. / The fact that it replaced the motherboard is a good thing! Did you check after s pen after? In most cases, the sensor s pen flies, you have to rewind the display module. So check and warn the others.

    Bro since I also had the emmc problem right now Im in a dilemma whether to buy a mb or sell the phone for spare parts.. I love the phone and Im mostly thinking to give it a try so since 5 months have passed is it still ok in your case ? Btw I sent a message to the seller that you have bought the mb from to ask him whether he would guarantee me for the emmc bug.

  • @desmondho6526

    won't this just be a temporary fix as the same problem will just reoccur after some time has passed? then you will have to replace all over again and waste more money?

      @heatherrhodge2588 6 лет назад +2

      Desmond Ho I'm guessing you didn't read what he wrote at the beginning of the video.. this issue only relates to the phones made in early 2014 so no it's not a definite that this prob will just happen again although there is the possibility if the motherboard u replace it with has the brick bug

    Il mio note 4 non si accende proprio , è un problema risolvibile con il cambio della scheda madre?

    • @Liv2Throttle
      @Liv2Throttle  5 лет назад

      per prima cosa devi fare in modo che il tuo battitore sia buono, quindi assicurati che il tuo display sia buono. l'ultima cosa che vuoi cambiare è la scheda madre.

      Live2Throttle Any experience with AliExpress? I am thinking of replacing my N910F board ( that god knows how much it will survive with WakeLock, I guess you heard about it) with a N910C (Exynos 5433 variant, the only thing I have to replace is the front camera.) board and found one on AliExpress.
      This and I hope Ali doesn't hack bank accounts (I know, this sounds funny but better safe than sorry)
