Hey Ratnak I'm heading to Peterborough for a family event and I am wondering if you can name any places to catch fish from shore preferably the fish half a pound or more thank you as always SportOutdoors
Hi there, check out James A. Gifford Causeway, Lake Chemong. I was planning on going this year but it didnt happen. There's a long bridge that goes across the lake and you should have good success.
I actually don't. I'm sure it has everything such as smallies, largies, pike, muskies, crappie, and wallies. That's the beauty of fishing, you never know what you will catch. Remember that specific bait and lures will attract specific species so it's really up to you on what you want to catch. Eventually I will be covering shore fishing setups in my future videos, so stay tuned. For me, I always carry a medium-light rod and ultra light rod. Anything 5'6 + length rods will be good. I have one rod for large lures like spinners, and heavy plastic like senkos and my light rod I use a minnow on a jig for action. Good luck!
wheretofish Hi there wheretofish...that is our resort in the background while you are fishing off the Gores Landing gazebo, Plank Road Cottages & Marina. Your list of species is correct. You can catch the odd pike, not many but a few swimming around this lake! Thanks for posting :-)
I'm from cobourg just want to say don't go hear on a weekend unless you want 30000 Asians shoulder to shoulder crossing your line every 5 mins but durning the week very nice harwood as well
@@jdyun8697 - Kurt Manion is not being ignorant but stating a simple fact. These asians also keep every little thing they catch and have no sense of conservation.
@@stevenburt4553 it's 2019. Fix your outlook. Maybe instead of mocking you could properly inform them the next time you see them. Don't categorize people. I'm asian, I'm sure I outclass you in every aspect of fishing
Wasent trying to be a jerk just saying they have no respect for the communities that they overflow on the weekends they keep every fish they catch full pails garbage everywhere some of them are very nice and some of them are very ignorant that's all as far as trying to tell him the proper rules or in your words inform them that is a lost cause
Spent many years vacationing at Harwood, then at Gores Landing.
Many pleasant memories.
Miss Rice Lake very much.
I have fished at Gores landing, and I caught one of my largest walleye there.
I always remember that huge convenience store. used to rent Sega games and Nintendo games ans VHS all the time there
Nice crappies in the summer
If your fishing at gores landing, cast right beside the old dock. There’s some massive bass that live under it.
I’ve been there a couple of times before and haven’t caught any bass are u sure they are there??
I know some good spots for walleye there dock fishing bass is amazing. I want to get a musky out of there my goal
Nice
Hi

My dad had a cottage on Rice Lake. Dirty, weedy water. On a hot July day, lake was a swamp covered in scum. Not nice! Couldn't keep boat hulls clean.
