I just noticed that there are thumbs down for this video. Whaat??? Why??? Your tassels are beautiful!! They are so much nicer than other tassel videos/tassels on other channels. I can't see any reason in the world for an unhappy response to what you have done. I am a new subscriber to your channel after seeing your tassels. (I love that you speak so clearly and are so easy to follow (and you have beautiful hands!)) So there! :0)
p welch thank you so much. Yes, on all craft videos, we get thumbs down. It's hard to evaluate all the reasons, but we RUclipsrs also get haters. I have two haters, one of which is particularly aggressive. A hater pulls up 6-20 of your videos in one sitting, thumbs down without even watching, and moves to the next. What an unhappy existence that must be. It doesn't bother me. I'm a joyous person :)
p welch, Lolly Palooza~ I know...right?? I LOVE THIS WOMAN!! She explains things very well and gives the ramifications of why or why NOT to do something that will possibly ruin the project for newbies. This is the first time I've seen her vids and I can also tell she takes pride in her work...and I would venture to say she's (like me ;) ) a bit of a perfectionist. AND I LIKE THAT!!! It drives me absolutely CraZy to hear so many crafter's say in their tuts " It doesn't have to be perfect." ARRRRGGGG To a perfectionist YES.. IT DOES! lol But this lady does very nice work AND pays attention to those that are learning and need to know and understand the inside secrets the pros have already encountered on their journey to making such lovely things. Cuz I want mine to last!! Sad to see that there ARE that many thumbs down, cuz this woman is one of my new favs to watch, and learn from. I hope you also read this, Lolly Palooza, thank you so much!!! ♥♥ You have a very happy and grateful new subbie!! Your tassels are just adorable!!
Lolly Palooza I have issues with trolls that do that. Shame on them and what a truly sad life they must have to do that. I love, LOVE, your videos. Thank you for taking time to show us how this is done.
I love your channel and don't understand why anyone would give you a thumbs down. I'm so glad you don't let it worry you! You do amazing tutorials Lolly, so easy to follow, and understand. You explain so well. I too am a new subscriber and have binge watched your videos - I'm still catching up LOL!!! but absolutely love it. Please keep doing what your're doing! Its brilliant!!!
I love your descriptions where you tell why you're doing things! I don't understand why anyone hits the thumbs down when this is so perfect! Thank you for your time and sharing your knowledge and experience!
Barbara Hauenstein thanks so much. I often think the same thing when I see thumbs down on others' videos. I think that their video is perfect, and there's thumbs down. Thank you for your encouragement!
Wonderful tips! Especially about the 90 degree bend? I really like the garment pins you used to add the extra charms. These will be great embellishments for my mini albums. Thank you again!
Lolly --- you just amaze me. I love this method and am going to make some tassels for a project that has needed something to it but I wasn't sure what it was. Now I know - TASSELS!! LOL. You are so talented and I love your sweet voice and gentle ways of sharing. Thank you so much and please keep the videos coming. I always am excited to see what you come up with next. God bless.
You inspired me to try the tassels I have been wanting to try. I can't cut a straight line so I scored up to the 1/2 inch line..but all the way to the top on the cut out part Helped me glue and get the first few turns done.
Omg those are so cute! Been thinking abou crafts recently that i could use when im reading, they would make some killer decorations with my finished books :)
This is the first tassel video I've watched and I doubt I will look for anymore! Thanks for the great explanation of each step. I'm off to Michael's to find some beads!
Ohhhh maaa'word!!! How have I never seen this before. I've been wondering how to make tassels, but I was thinking using yarn, embroidery thread, floss, etc. This is so amazing!!! Thank you for your videos. I always learn something and feel inspired to try something new.
thank you so much! Yes, when I made this, paper tassels were a popular craft. I am thinking now if I did it again, I'd coat the paper with Mod Podge first before cutting, to give it some strength.
thank you for your tutorial. fun and very easy. ...... I made several I just love them.!!!! can you give me some ideas as to where to hang these lovely tassels, I am clueless....
Very helpful tut!! Thanks so much for all the great tips. I like how you pay attention to detail...your tassel charms are very pretty!! Thanks again! ;)
Those are so pretty! That flip-flop one is just too cute! I am a purple person but I just love the flip-flop b/c I have always love the beach! Could you please give me the info on where you got your supplies? Have a blessed day :)
Hi, Tammy. I've been starting to add supply lists under my video, but I didn't this time because it was all stuff I have in my stash already. I use paper scraps, miscellaneous beads, ribbon, eye pins, etc. I tend to get the beads and eye pins in the jewelry section at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, but I pick them up anywhere I see them. I use that Loctite Super Glue gel, too, and I have found that Walmart has the best price.
Thank you! It's hard for me to ever get to Walmart or to any of the craft stores any more! I now just end up trying to find things on Ebay as cheap as I can and then end up waiting several weeks or a month till I can get it some of the times but I most of the times only pay a few bucks or even less for the item or even under a dollar! Thank you for your help and have a blessed day!
Hello Lolly. I just started making Tassels and was wondering what brand of glue are you using to glue the paper as you wrap it around. I used hot glue and it was a little on the thick side. This tutorial is so easy to use and thank you for any and all tips.
I am quite horrified too that there are any thumbs down... I love your tutorial...and although I did do a beading course many years ago... I prefer the way you create the loop. It is far simpler...than the strange wrist movement I was taught to use!!!!
Thank you so much. Yes, thumbs down are common on crafting videos, and most of us have "trolls" -- people who only open our videos to give thumbs down (without watching) then move onto the next one to give thumbs down, doing 5-10 videos in one sitting without watching any of them. I tend to forget that it's happening, because it doesn't bother me. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! :)

Loved!!!.. Your Tutorial!!! Very Understandable!! I think I can do this but what are the dimensions of the tassel??!! I missed that info I guess!!🙌❤️
Do you mean the finished tassel? It depends on how thick your card stock is, how tightly you wind it, and the height of the additions on top
I'm a new subbie. I just loved this tutorial. Tfs
Dawn Grubaugh yay! Thanks for joining!
That’s so pretty tfs😊
Thank you! 🤗
Loving your sweet charms. TFS.

Great job! Aren't they addictive??
yes! And they are so pretty lined up together!
These are darling!! I am so thrilled that I came across this video. I realize it was made last year, but do you by chance recall where you got the pink and green striped cardstock for the one on the far right? I am head over heels in love with that cardstock. It's ok if you don't recall. But it was worth a shot to ask. Thank you so much! I will be making these to add to my mini albums!!
Denise Maynard I'm sorry, but I really don't remember. :(
love these. Going to give them ago. what thickness or weight of card do you use?
