    Plus since you saved the juices of the turkey by keeping the foil tray those can be used to build more gravy. Really nice vibe - subscribed

    *I think this dinner pack is unique and brilliant 💯👌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻*
    I have done the turkey in the foil and out the tray,in a roasting pan with extra oil if I want to make my own gravy. But definitely far more convenient in the tray it comes in x

    Looked fulfilling and its just what you need on these cold days! A bit more gravy ( i am a gravy fan) and it would be rocking. I can always make extra though. liked this vlog very much what a good idea in showing this box of goodies cooked and served up ! take care you three !

    I’ve lost both my parents & a sibling in the last 2 & a bit years, I only lost my Dad in June, a matter of days after fathers Day when I was scheduled to make him a big roast dinner, our favourite meal & something he’d missed while having his hospital stays. I promised him while he was in ICU, I’d do a roast dinner when he got home.. & in the funeral home I promised I’d still do that roast dinner in his honour. So despite being on my own for the first time this Christmas, i will be doing a Christmas dinner for myself, but it’ll often last me 3 evenings dinners - I don’t get fed up with it as I do different sides each time, & it’s my favourite meal anyway, & since I’m disabled, it’s nice to have it all ready each night, just a case of reheating :) I always cook my meat first & pop it under foil (roast pork for me, not a turkey fan, neither was my Mum or Dad!), then I just pop in the roast potatoes, roasted carrots / parsnips, pigs in blankets & cauliflower cheese, & on the hob I’ve usually got my tenderstem broccoli & sweetheart cabbage going. I serve with bread sauce, Yorkshire pudding & gravy! It’s a lot of work, but I steady myself doing it, & leftover meat is had with jackets, salad etc.
    Not sure I’ll do it every year, perhaps I’ll just cook a nice roast chicken and make some nice little buffet bits. But I want to honour Mum & Dad this year.
    Lovely idea Iceland have done though, especially if you’re a smaller family. £25 all in, other than extra gravy, yorkshires, perhaps bread sauce & cauliflower cheese, I’d say £30? If that? I don’t think that’s bad for 4 people! x

    • @AriaGracefield
      @AriaGracefield  21 день назад +4

      Omg I'm sorry to hear you've had such a tough time, it's lovely to hear you will be honoring ur promise to your dad, I've never had bread sauce I will have to try it sometime! Sending you positive and happy thoughts, from Aron & Ian & Einstein xx

    • @LauraBidingCitizen
      @LauraBidingCitizen 21 день назад +2

      @ Oh my goodness! Please do try it! I recommend the Colmans one over any other brand, it’s glorious! I’ve converted many people 🙈 It’s traditionally had with turkey or chicken but I have it with pork because I love the stuff lol. If I lived closer, I’d pop you some over as I have a stash.. not addicted or anything 😏
      Ah, bless you all, thank you. Been a very difficult few years, especially the last 6 months navigating life without them, especially Dad. You’re all really kind. Love and blessings to all 3 of you, so lovely to have come across your channel. 💗 xx

      I'm sorry to hear that. Sorry for your loss.
      We lost my wife's mother to aggressive cancer this year and it will be my wife's first year without her mum, her dad passed about ten years ago. I've lost both my parents so I know what she and you are going through. As much as neither of us feel like celebrating Christmas after the last rough year, we too have decided to have a full traditional Christmas dinner as it is something all our parents loved, and none of them would be very pleased with us if they were here and could see us not sticking to a traditional Christmas.
      They wouldn't want us to be miserable. I think it does you good mentally to keep your mind occupied at such times of the year, and preparing a big meal at Christmas is an ideal way to do that. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss. I won't lie and tell you things get back to how they were before, but it does improve and get better over time. You just gave to adjust and carry on. Having family and friends to talk to also helps. I don't think we would have gotten through the last year without our 3 and 5 year old granddaughter's to focus on. They can't help but make us smile.
      Also doing things to help others can give you a sense of life being worthwhile at times like this. I used to help out for charities a lot around Xmas. Raising funds or helping individuals, I have spent most of my life helping disabled people as a carer, but now I myself am in a position where I can't do much physically for anyone anymore, including myself (I've ended up disabled and mostly housebound in the last 5 years since COVID, through various illnesses, including COVID, ulnar nerve damage, muscle wasting, lower leg amputated etc the list goes on and sadly gets worse, but you can't let it get you down!) but now, instead of the things I used to be able to do to help, the one good thing I can do is to donate to charities who use that money to help others. I'm not rich, far from it, and after getting ill, I had to sell my small computer building/repair business that I did in-between being a carer, and as I don't need to buy my wife and myself much as we are content and have all the things we need in life, including each other, so we can afford enough to give a little here and there, especially around Christmas time. Knowing we have given around 5 people a happier Christmas this year will make things more tolerable for us this time of the year.
      That's because we give to a few different charities that help people who are homeless or otherwise in need, to have a room, meals, a few gifts and the chance of help to get themselves in a better position in life if they need and want it, and knowing if it helps just one person, the fact we've made a bit of a difference helps us to get through Christmas. Just keep yourself and your mind occupied and you will get through, what will be, a very tough time.
      Merry Christmas isn't really appropriate here, so I'll just say that I hope you have as good a Christmas as can be expected in the circumstances, and that you can hopefully look forward to a better year in 2025.

    Hi guys,
    I'm wondering if it may have been easier to have used the conventional oven since you had it on anyway rather than both the air fryer and the oven?
    I appreciate Christmas dinner isn't an easy task for some though.
    Enjoyed watching.

    • @AriaGracefield
      @AriaGracefield  20 дней назад +1

      Yea we did wonder that and it probably would have tbh but our over is missing an element so it basically just warms food instead of cooking it but we barely use it so we haven't had it fixed haha
