- Finally got around to doing this! I love and adore this album and I've been dying to get this uploaded. Hope you all enjoy!
For those who don't know, OU means octave unison, H means harmony, and BG means background.
+ Follow me on tumblr: tylerjoseoh.tumblr.com
fun fact: tyler writes his music mostly in F# bc when he was little all that was interesting to him on the piano were the black keys lol
jøshlertrønnørmelanieandhalseykilledme I-/ lol
DAMN TYLER BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH THE UKULELE SCREAMO
And it's art
AND THE BLACK HANDS
+bresonic11 they're gone now
+bresonic11 blurryface isn't really there anymore lmao he's almost all gone. There's barely any of him left now 💗
+Angie TØP TRASH dude I just saw that their next album will be titled Death of the Enemy and it means death of Blurryface and I am so emo I fell apart
i love this because it shows how versatile tyler's voice is. there are so many parts where he is singing the same note, but it sound completely different and i love that.
+omicron Right? I'm excited to see what else he has to offer! I know his range spans wider than what he's shown
michellen_1004 same! i think he has a lot of potential. his voice is too beautiful, he can make it sound fragile and weak, then change to powerful and strong and aaaaa i could go on for ages just talking about his voice.
... i'm trash
+omicron There are a lot of elements to Tyler's voice. He tells a story with every note that he sings and I think that he's very lucky to possess that quality. He's got so much talent.
michellen_1004 exactly. i don't get why people like Justin Bieber are famous when their musical talent is far inferior to that of Tyler Joseph (and Josh Dun, mustn't forget about him). All the mainstream 'pop' artists do is sing about sex, drugs and love, but Twenty One Pilots tackle mental health problems and insecurities, etc. It frustrates me so much that the richer, 'more attractive' artists that lack stand-out talent are more popular than the creative thought-provoking and deep creations of bands like Twenty One Pilots (this applies to other bands/artists as well).
+omicron Pop music is targeted towards radio play. That's the main difference between it and alternative music.
smol bean is so talented bless him :')
:')
Your name and pic I can't... .. Rip

I'm guessing you have to be musically educated to understand this..because this makes no sense to me whatsoever
same 😂
+michelle wong What part of it doesn't make sense to you? I'll try to explain it as best as I can.
+michellen_1004 like all of it? Lmao it's ok though
+michelle wong I'll explain it as simply as I can. On a piano, there are a range of notes, with each note having a name. The white keys are either A, B, C, D, E, F, or G. The black keys are the sharp and flat variations of those notes. For example, A sharp is a variation of the note A, but it is a half-step higher. A whole step would be from A to B. Alternatively, A flat is a half-step lower than A. Something else you would need to know is the concept of octaves. Take your basic range of notes: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. The note that comes after G is A, just at an octave higher than the first A. For example, A4 is one octave lower than A5, which means the notes B4, C5, D5, E5, F5, and G5 are in between the two. When played at the same time, A4 and A5 sound the same, but A5 is higher. All of this translates vocally. Each note acknowledged in the video can be played on a piano. Starting with low notes, the video ascends the vocal scale of notes, which serves the purpose of displaying Tyler's entire range on Blurryface. If you're still confused, a little Google search might help you grasp the concept better. I'm terrible at explaining things.
+michellen_1004 oh, you're so sweet! I'm happy finally someone explained, thank you!! ^~^
his low notes are my high notes, am I the only one?😂
ME TOO, LIKE THE BEGINNING OF THE HOMETOWN IS HIGH I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THIS
+social casualty if you listen closely to hometown he sings a lower part behind the high bit. like the same melody but an octave lower. i think that's where the d3 is :)
His low notes are my midway. I can sing way lower than that and way higher than his high notes. I reckon this album was just a bad choice for a vocal range study. He sings way higher and way lower in self-titled.
Life of Troy VLOGS nope SAME THO
heyheyheyli_ yeah for me I have to sing higher for the low notes
Lol he doesn't hit those high notes he usually screams them 😂😂
I think he's said somewhere that if you can reach the note you can scream and it usually works
+Kai Price 😂😂😂
Your icon omg
your user and profile picture *claps* You are my spirit animal
brendøn Uries førehead name and pfp yasssss
Oh, believe me he can go higher have you seen him sing "cheesy gordita" in that video
Stephanie Cho Does it really count if it's in his falcetto though
Li Walt of course it does. A lot of singers use falsetto to hit higher notes
Li Walt that's head voice not falsetto omg
Pøny omg yeah
He sings a high note voice in cut my lip location sessions
Yo friends, I'm still trying to get a video made for Death of a Bachelor but have had almost no time to work on it. I promise I'll get it up at some point. Thank you for being so patient!
Yay 😁🙂
It's frens* 😂❤️
+I like twenty one pilots yesss 😂😂😂😂 Its "yo frens"
+Angie TØP TRASH ❤️
michellen_1004 Still waiting😂😭
low notes to belted : Normal territory
head voice : Welcome to heaven
I can't read music or understand notes, but I can tell he has an amazing vocal range lol
Madeline Has A Migraine While his range isnt that spectacular, he has good control on it. Even if you dont know a lot about music you can see he stays on F# for a lot of this album, possibly because he feels most comfortable singing there, or it could be a habit.
to the five people who disliked this, explain.
Cliché but: dis, I like
Tyler's range is literally the same as mine
nice range then xD
i wish i could get those fucking low notes. no idea what my range is called but its high. i can do whistle notes but who cares about that shit i want to do the low notes tbh lmao
+samantha esther same, like I wanna sing all those tøp and panic! songs but they are so low and I'm a girl with soprano so fml
same, its great.
Karolane Music same like wth
Tyler actually does have quite a vocal range like see how far the notes are from factories on the piano he got like a 3 octave range that's pretty good
*from each other
I think you should just do his entire range. I'm curious to see how deep and how high his voice can be. with him being like my favorite singer ever, I'd love to know all about his range.
Now I'm curious to know the vessel vocal ranges
Me too and the self titled album 😂😂
Those sustained notes in Kitchen Sink at the end
Finally! Someone did Tyler's range 😄thank you
I have no idea what any of the terminology is but I'm watching is anyway because tyler joseph. You feel me dudes?
I love how the "low" notes are kinda high pitched😂😂😂. No hate I love Tyler❤️ he's such a smol bean.
yay you finally made this vid:)
I was about to be one of those freaking losers who don't read the title and say "Uh, ACTUALLY *pushes glasses up nose* Tyler can sing higher... um, yeah. So." Then I read the video was the vocal range for Blurryface and then I was like "Woopsies..."
I can hit all of Tyler's notes :) yes i'm female. It's fun lol soprano 2/ alto that's how :)
I'm soprano 1 and I just can't hit his lowest three or so notes and it's so annoying
Use this thing called chest voice. I learned it in choir. When you're hitting a low note, put your hand on your chest and feel it vibrate. That's your chest voice. It helps with getting lower notes :)
I can't hit the his lowest note I'm a soprano 2 I hate it
I can hit all the notes but the last few high ones anything past C5 is pretty much impossible, though i can get a couple notes lower then D3 . Now that i think of it i have a really deep voice for a 13 year old Chinese girl.
I don't know anything about singing but I do it for fun, I'm a TØP fan that's why.. 😂😭
this is another reminder for me to figure out my range xD
bless your soul for making this! i've been looking for a video like this for ages! thank you soso much for making this
Lmao you guys should go watch Tyler singing the national anthem WOOOOO
Edit: THEY WERE SOME HIGH NOTES
I'm that one kid in choir with the vocal range of Kellin Quinn.... but I can hit every one of these notes with ease. Im honestly really fucking shocked 😂
I'm going to test my range and come back to this video to see if my range is the same as Tyler's because I have no life 😂
What A Range. 😍💙
Tyler Is the Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His vocal range isn't big, but he sings the notes differently so they don't sound the same, which is cool.
The heavydirtysoul head voice sounds more like a belted note to me... idk, it just sounds a bit grittier than a normal head voice. And he is singing an "ee" which might be easier for him to belt.
Despite having a shorter range, Tyler really knows how to work it!
This is REALLY COOL though
is this god or is this Tyler Robert Joseph? the world will never know
why did I click on this, I think because I saw Tyler on the thumbnail.
2:30 the lowest is actually E3 at the end of "dark"
same at 3:17
yesss
bagel
yes
@@bagelsCANON EVENT 💀💀💀💀
The "ohh"s around 5 minutes was josh lol
Como se llama la primera canción?
Nice
Did anyone else sing along to all of the samples?
We have the same vocal range ❤
I have the same vocal range (except I can go one note higher) also i am a girl soprano. the question is am I in the good place for my voice range or should I be an alto
the important thing in choir is not how big the range is and how low/high you can get, but how good the tones sound, so it depends on where you feel comfortable singing
+Asepticbich It all depends on comfort and resonance. If you can sing lower notes with more comfort and resonance, singing alto may be a better fit. If you can sing higher notes more comfortably, singing either alto 1 or soprano 2 (mezzo-soprano) would be a good choice. However if your highest note is a G#5, you're most likely an alto.
Were some of them listed twice? Like the Goner screaming?
What about a Goner Warning? I'm sensitive! jk
What about Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si?
wouldn't the "our hometown's in the daaaark" be the deepest range? I feel like he goes really low at that part.
E3
Where does his mixed voice begin?
What does E3 mean, like such lost much confused
You should watch Tyler singing in the bathroom in underwear he sings really really high
What does Head Voice mean?
Oh I think I know what you mean then
When singing high notes usually you can use the belting technique or you use head voice which is more natural. Head voice makes it easier to reach really notes but it's much more breathy and quieter
+Georgia ahh yeah I get it now thank you
Does anyone know how many octaves he can sing/scream? Like not just from this album but altogether
Ray Ruth I'd say he has about a 2 octave range, but he has mad voice control, which makes up for it.
can you do the other albums as well?
+Katy Crawford I've already done his studio vocal range from No Phun Intended to Vessel, so I won't do each album separately at this point, sorry!
oh, i didnt see them in recomended, ill go look sry
whats the song at 2:17? & 5;19
Doubt
Why am I younger than him but can sing lower? I don't even do voice lessons :o
Not to say you're wrong or anything, but Tyler's notes aren't low at all lol
What does this a mean
whats the first song called??? Pls Answerrr
+Sara Agolli If you're talking about the intro song, it's called Ride.
+michellen_1004 Thanks for that, but I was thinking of the song where it says D3 (Brief) (OU)
+Sara Agolli hometown
ride
can't hit those high notes? Just scream and no one will be the wiser!
Brendon would destroy Tyler.
Elliott Geer brendon would destroy the majority of people
True, Brendon's high notes and lows to are perfect!
Brendon is a god. Or Satan, lmao
Open up multiplayer piano while you listen to this and press the keys to the music
Wtf
You should do one without the screaming. He can't actually hit notes that high, he just screams so it appears that he has a larger range than he actually does.
Fire Cat Girl He's hit notes higher than the ones in the video during live performances lol
He's not actually that great of a singer. Mostly average, if you ask me.
Fire Cat Girl theres a vid of him singing cheesy gordita and its waay higher than anything here. Also ive seem them live and i beg to differ
Fire Cat Girl they don't make songs just for people to enjoy. YOU WOULD KNOW THAT IF YOU WERE PART OF THE SKELETON CLIQUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😑
Fire Cat Girl he actually can hit them, but usually yes, he does scream. But there's different videos you can find where he's singing higher
He can sing really high. look up Tyler Joseph high pitch on RUclips. The first thing that comes up is a video of him singing about cheesy gordita.
😂 omg his TB saga is the best
Omg God and the ending to that video is adorable I swear he's like. "I love che- heheh. " HES SUCH A BEAN I SWEAR. 😂😂❤❤
TACO BELL SAGA YESSSSS
Taco bell saga isn't what bela-joseph dun was talking about.
even though taco bell saga is lit af 🔥
I love him with all my heart
me too
Me too I love both of them so much
Rose Gal omg same
Same
Still? ❤️
Just imagine if someone made one of Death Of A Bachelor
+trashisnotonfire I'm actually working on that right now
+michellen_1004 yooo i'm hyped
+michellen_1004 Cool! I'll be waiting for that video
Omg yes
YAAAASSS
So what I got from this is that he sings E3 a whole lot XD
Lmao yeah that's the one that usually sounds better for some parts of a song
And it's one of the most comfortable low notes for his voice
I get all on the video omg all those years studying music weren't a waste of time
Dude same
Idk what the fuck these words mean but Tyler sounds goooood 👌💯🙌🙌
lmao same
same hha
me too XD
I have no clue how i got here but Tyler is an angel
Me
Vocal range is from what note you can sing,D3 and F#5 are musical notes,so,it's the range of notes he's capable of singing
I love how his high notes are usually screamed, it shows his emotion and how he's feeling and you don't get that from a lot of artist these days...
Because Tyler isn't like other artist ❤️ he's our smol bean and Jishwa is our smol drummer 😂
+Angie TØP TRASH omg
True lmao
Bruh. I would do that just because I can't ht high notes.
Anne same but I've never screamed/yelled before so it'll be odd :///
Who else knew every single song :3
of course
what's the song at 8:49
Message Man
+Soll N message Man I believe
Me
If you would like me to do more vocal range videos, I take requests!
Brendon urie
Yes please Brendon Urie
+Kylie Beston probably will show that he can hit higher notes than mariah Carey
+michellen_1004 Melanie Martinez has a light, unique voice
Andy Biersack, Oliver Sykes, Denis Stoff
This is so calming
I don't know what those things mean but Tyler is amazing
I can't sing as low as him so singing the judge is so rough but I can sing higher than him which makes sense bc high soprano
same
I can't sing as high as him so singing the "set me free" is rough for me lol
Cat Waterman
I kinda can sing the high notes parts of their songs and the low notes parts. But I can't in a million years sing what's in between without my voice cracking up. 😭
Zach Couto Music Same!
I'm always like Set me FREEHEE *COUGHS LUNGS OUT*
Jenna Keith I always end up singing that part like how he sings it toward the end
haven't watched all the way through but i assume the songs in this are literally only Blurryface songs which does not show his full capacity whatsoever,
+Isaac Huetter That's because this is his range specifically on the album Blurryface...It says that in the title.
ah i see. didn't read the title thoroughly enough. my bad.
ty's head voice is so pure sounding omg. head voice is typically airier and softer, of course, but his just sounds particularly angelic, or something.
I know that I still have not uploaded the video for Death of a Bachelor (or worked on it much), but I am willing to do it if you guys still want me to. Would you guys still rather me do that or make a studio vs. live comparison of Tyler's voice from each album?
michellen_1004 studio vs live
tyler has a smaller range than me but is 10x better than me so it goes to show range doesnt matter that much
I think what matters the most is how skilfully you control your voice within the range you have. I can go from like F3 to A6 but it's sometimes too much for me to handle and my voice doesn't always cooperate the way I'd like it to ;p my teacher tho is an opera singer and she ranges about the same as me but she is much more of a natural singer than me and hits every note so perfectly and her voice just flows so effortlessly through all those craziest fastest aries and I'm like damn son *.* I think Tyler has 100% control over his voice just like her, that's why he sounds so good. Same goes for Brendon Urie, dat boi can sing whatever the hell he wishes to
Well, finally someone famous who has a smaller range then me.
We don't know his real voice range. This is only the vocal range he does on Blurryface. It may very well be higher or lower.
Tia Leung he actually has a pretty wide vocal range, this is just his vocal range for blurryface :)
I'm willing to bet his actual range is larger on the lower end, but he simply prefers the higher songs.
do a Brendon Urie one
I have no idea what the hell any of that meant but okie dokie
I can hit virtually all of those except my voice is so weak so they all sound like crap... I wanna know how people can belt things cuz I have no idea how to properly...
you probably could find some tutorials that would explain it better but what my singing lessons taught me is that you gotta breathe from your diaphragm so it feels like you breathe with your belly rather than chest and your chest expands more to the sides than lifts when you inhale. then when you make a sound you gotta push your diaphragm down, the higher the note the lower it has to go, to help yourself get the feel of it you can squat or lift a chair while singing higher. it's also important that your throat stays loose so nothing there is tense and that way you won't hurt yourself and the air can flow more freely which automatically gives you a better, stronger sound. do not push yourself too much and always stop training if something starts feeling uncomfortable. it's good to start with breathing excersises and the easiest way to tell if you're breathing from your diaphragm is to hold a piece of paper in front of your mouth and make a sound on exhale, if the paper vibrates delicately it means you are doing it right. while siging, especially higher notes you can also experience tingling in your nose or forehead. after you get the hang of that free air flow, the world is an open door ;) sounding opera-like, pop-like, jazz or more rock is all a matter of experimentation with your tongue placement, the way you shape sounds inside your mouth and suppression of the air flow so a thing you gotta figure out on your own by trying rather than something you can be taught, everybody has a vocal style they naturally lean towards and that will come to you too after you practise quite some. so in conclusion: sing as much as you can because like every with every art, practice makes perfect ;)
+Kementeri thank you so much!!! That is actually very helpful, I intend to use it. Again, thank you!!
+Lindsey Surrett good luck, fren, have fun (because singing really is all about having fun with your voice and that's what matters) :)
he sings so beautifully i just cant describe it its so emotional and just perfect
ive died im dead im GONE
when i heard Ride as intro im ready to sing along and then...huh? what is this 😂 so im just here listening happily with tyler's voice.
Please,do Gerard Way!!!!!
Shit, I love Tyler Joseph's voice so much.
Anyone else sing along and realize that it progressively gets more difficult to match his pitch?
"Catch my breath" I CAN'T DO IT ITS TOO LOW
Hey, heads up, 12:25 the C5 note, is Josh singing, Not Tyler. Just wanted to let you know, although certain vocals of that segment may sound like Tyler but trust me, it's mainly made up of josh. But nice presentation
Timbo Talk Idk if I'm hearing the right thing but that note is definitely Tyler. I have no doubt that Josh sings on this album (he does in that song and in Not Today) but he has not been one to sing that high up into his range. The note you're referring to is, and I'm fairly certain, Tyler.
“Timbo Talk” you have 0 proof of that it is definitely Tyler nice try though.😂
You should do freddie mercury, it'll probably be an hour long
So it seems to be that I have the same vocal range as Tyler. I feel honored.
YOU NEED TO DO JOSH RAMSAY
Abby Capannelli omg YASS!!
When you have literally the exact same range as TyJø...
Lucky. I'm a dude and I wish I had his voice just because I want to sing like him, how do you check that tho?
The range
+LIke a B0Ss 112 you can use an actual piano or they have ways of finding it online, I'll see if I can find you a link!
why do we have the same vocal range exactly someone sign me
my range is mouse on drugs to drunk baby mouse fml
I just wanna do a bb4 like the one on ride OMG
his voice is so beautiful
