      @@CameraCommando My handle bar was not designed for this kit. I had to drill my handle bar and do thread with a tapper. Was pain in the ass to install, tookme over 3hours with sone mods causr I cannot use the piece that came with it. But I did it. Nice result. Very happy with.

    Use a cone shapes drill bit
    It worked great mut make sure to Slightly Adjust your throttle body to the left a little bit so it doesn't stick it only has to be about a millimeter

    I ordered some Barkbuster Storm guards . They have the bar end weights you can add for vibration. You made that install look easy. I hope mine goes on as easy.

    So I installed these on a 2018 XT250 and recently dropped my bike on a trail. While it saved the clutch lever from getting broken, the mounting bracket closest to riser slammed into the gas tank and dented it. Either my forks are slightly out of alignment now or the handle bars are slightly bent from impact. Honestly can’t tell which. My point is that these “guards “ can create their own brand of damage. Just a heads up.

    • @CameraCommando
      @CameraCommando  2 года назад +1

      That is solid information and the first time I've heard of it. I idea when I put these on was to primarily protect my hands like bark busters in the woods. I have noticed they kept my hands a bit warmer in the winter while at speed. But you are right, mods cause different damage issues. I hope you figure out your issues on the fork or handles and get back on the road soon. Be careful out there bro!

    On the throttle side, any issues with the throttle by taking the end plastic off?

  • @srdjan1985

    Hi man, thanks for the tutorial
    One question, how do you remove the expander bolts if needed ? Any issues there?

    • @CameraCommando
      @CameraCommando  3 года назад

      Hi, the expander bolt sort of tighten as you screw them in and the reverse as you loosen. I suppose if you "lost" one accidentally inside the bar you could use a magnet or a wire hangar to fish them out. Overall it was very easy to install and you should not be afraid to go for it if you are sitting on the fence about it. Good luck my friend.

      @@CameraCommando thanks for the reply!
      Eventually i went with the custom shorter regular bolt, which went directly into the bar end weights (but twice as long then the oem ones which held the plastic handguards).
      Didnt want to risk ruining the thread inside the bars, with the expanders.
      Cheers!

    Hi just found your channel i was wondering if these fit perfectly or did u have too modify any thing?

    • @CameraCommando
      @CameraCommando  2 года назад

      They have adjustable sections that look like they fit many brands. They did not require any mods. I did have to drill a hole in the plastic plug inside the handlebars of the motorcycle. I kind of messed up, and ended up just cutting off a tiny piece with a sharp knife. Your bike may be different, but if you watch the video, you'll see what I did. I'm pleased with them. They have saved my hands several times.

    • @CameraCommando

      I fits great. It is completely adjustable from the connection points. It is like a universal fit, so you should have no problem mounting it.

    • @spydie
      @spydie 3 года назад

      @@CameraCommando I found it and put a Parabellum windshield on my bike too. But I don't really like it. It's not tall enough or wide enough to keep any wind off you. I think I'm going to go with a handlebar mount universal windshield. I have one coming for my new Kawasaki W800 (you can see the video on my channel) and I'll see how that fits on my XT250. There are so darned many out there and you just don't know how they'll fit/look until you order them.

    • @CameraCommando
      @CameraCommando  2 года назад

      I really like mine because it is thin enough to let me drive through the woods and squeak through brush. It's enough to cut wind for my short highway trips. I usually drive slow through trails so I'm not faced as much with wind as you might be. Let me know how you like your new shield.
