Well here I am Lou Anne (with an E) looking for inspiration for an outdoor mosaic wall and I find a Lou Ann and this beautiful work! 🤩😍 God's continued blessings to you! 🙏🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words Nina. If you want the wall to last clean it well first, I recommend using the best quality thinset mortar for out side in the weather. You can buy tools to cut the tile, but I enjoy breaking them with a hammer and making a design also. Let me know if you have questions. I am still continuing this wall and you can see more mosaic videos
Am a first timer but ambitiously planning to beautify a dull wall in my apartment parking and am super inspired by your design. I m goin to COPY it sort of. 😘
@@LouAnnBagnall Thanks for your encouragement. It might be some time before I even get around to it. Am working full time. Retiring on 31st July. Shall take up after that. And would definitely share on You Tube so you can see. Thank You sooo much. 🙏🙏🙏
This is a real labour of love. I really like how you show that it's a time consuming project, can't be done in a day. I've been wanting to do something like this to add some pop of colour in my garden. I'm thinking I'll do the stair risers going to the top section of my garden, so that I'm working in manageable chunks. I just can't decide if I want it to be one continuous image/theme, or just to see what happens as I go, and let it be colourful and chaotic!
Thank you so much for you kind encouragement... this section took about 2- 3 months working 2 days a week with lots of help.. the full wall shown in the linked videos, it actually was a process of 4 years... with some months break in between the sections.. I don't actually know how long it took.. but a long time
Awesome 👏 I’m doing my shower floor and a strip down the wall but only using the round glass cabochons, it’s my first time so praying it looks ok 👍 thank you for showing me tile mosaics and how and what you stick them on with 😁 blessings on your church garden from QLD Australia, Terry 😘❤️❤️❤️🙏❤️
Lou Ann Bagnall hello Lou Ann 😁 because iv not long had a knee and hip replacement I cannot get on and off the floor ugh !!! So what iv done is draw my design on butchers paper which I lay on the kitchen table, I then covered it with flyscreen wire & I have glued my coloured glass things onto that, I’m unsure if this will work but I’m doing it lol 😂... Next I’m going to do something with tile your wall has inspired me ❤️ I told my husband if there are only 2 cups, 2 plates & 2 bowls in the draw I’m hard at it somewhere haha 😂... I’m going to find you on Facebook as I’m sure you have more to see 😁 😘❤️❤️❤️
@@terry_kathryn yes that's one way to do it. then have some one put all your thinset mortar on the shower floor and press it down and grout it with the thinset

Wow!! Thank you so much for your really great encouragement. I have continued this wall , about 3 times the length of this first section... please see my later videos
Wonderful creation, thankyou for showing the process, and all those who participated. I am a painter, but have recently discovered that there is something about the fractal nature of mosaics which really inspires me. I have done my first pebble mosaic, and was surprisingly pleased with how it came out. Doing mosaics on a wall is a new challenge i would like to learn,so thankyou for sharing your knowledge. I look forward to more of your videos. Best wishes from Devon. God bless.

Thank you for asking and your kind comments. No..its an unpainted cement wall. I did wash it with bleach water to make sure there wasn't any mold.. the thinset mortar has to adhere well to the porus cement wall, so it sticks for some decades hopefully .not one piece has come loose in several years
Thanks for watching. Good question? It would depend what the stucco is made of and how thick the texture is, i guess. If it's cement, you could use thin-set mortar to adhere the tile. If it's made of plaster I would try plaster or siliconized mastic.
Thank you for watching.. yes. Finding the tile can be quite challenging. This was done in Istanbul and there is a tiny shop with so many peices of beautiful old colored tile that I usually buy peice by piece. Incould not do these mosaics without this shop!! In the states you may have to order it online and buy it by the box.. the other option which I did is ask tile shops to see their depot, or back room for outdated tile or tile scraps. Or 2nd hand shops. Also old plates .and colored glass can be used. But I love that Toto Ceramic tile shop. Hope you find some
