The HMS Erebus was a ship from the Franklin Expedition to the Arctic, led by Sir John Franklin in 1845. Along with the HMS Terror, the Erebus ventured into the Arctic ice and never returned, becoming the Lost Expedition of Sir John Franklin. The Erebus was built in 1826 and had a length of 88 meters. It was one of the most technologically advanced ships of its time, equipped with steam engines and designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the Arctic. However, despite its innovations, the expedition suffered serious setbacks and none of the 129 crew members aboard the Erebus and Terror survived. The HMS Erebus has become a symbol of Arctic exploration and human tenacity in the face of adversity.

Erebus and Terror from the Lost Expedition of Franklin
The HMS Erebus and HMS Terror were two ships that were part of Sir John Franklin's Lost Expedition to the Arctic in 1845. Both ships were technologically advanced for their time and were equipped with steam engines to navigate the Arctic waters. The expedition sought to find the Northwest Passage but became trapped in the ice and never returned. After several years without news of the ships, a search was initiated that led to their discovery in 2014 and 2016. Although remains of the expedition were found, the exact cause of its failure was never determined, leading to many theories and speculations. The Erebus and Terror are remembered as symbols of Arctic exploration and the bravery of the explorers who ventured into unknown and dangerous territory.

El Hércules no me gustó nada. Quién quiere hacer un barco industrial? Yo desde luego que no.

I can get why Occre have released this on 2 points. 1 as a possible full diorama of the Franklin expedition and 2 it has cost them more or less nothing to produce it thus getting maximum profit from it.
How many modellers will buy I to this I don't know, I just hope Occre don't make the same mistakes the likes of certain plastic kit manufacturers did by repackaging certain ships as different ones.
It maybe something I will purchase sometime in the future but I would rather have seen a French 1, 2nd or 3rd rate ship of the line, Occre for some reason keep avoiding these.
So I have actually had to spend money on a different kit manufacturer to get one these😢 I would rather have spent my money on an Occre kit as there instructions and customer service is Top of their league.
I will)) and very exited! And I will do something new with this model. Something that I never done before...
Very disappointed with Occre's last two releases. Why in the world would you release an exact duplicate of a ship that's already in your lineup?? I'd much rather see Occre come out with a J Class America's Cup boat from the early 1900's. I'm sure they could do better than Amati's Endeavor.
C'mon Occre, you can do better than this
Cheaper for them to repackage the same thing to sell it as, "new."
@laydownflat Well said Laydown. It's like Ford producing the Ford Escape but installing alternate badging saying Mercury Mariner and claiming it's a different vehicle
Totally agree James. Would of liked HMS Victory or the Mary Rose.
