The key animators for galaxy impact part were - Anikari Vincent Chansard Chris HoneHone Tomoyuki Takahashi And it was storyboarded by KATSUMI ISHIZUKA Absolute cinema
Whoever said Akihiro Ota was on this episode was wrong. This episode had many amazing animators Vincent, Chris, Ishizuka, HoneHone(storyboard), Anikari was largely responsible for those Galaxy Impact scene with Naotoshi Shida with Grus's scene.
Galaxy Impact looked so cool!!! So, there are a couple of things to know that may get lost in either translation or adaptation. Hibari speaks the same dialect as Sakazuki. And they are the only two in the series who speak that dialect. So that’s led to the theory that she is his daughter. Hibari also has a crush on Koby because, on a mission, he goes back and saves that little plushie bear in her backpack. Vegapunk, Caesar, Queen, Judge, and the original Stussy were part of a science group called MADS. That’s why Caesar, Queen, and Judge are in the background of that shot of Vegapunk winning that award. The cover story “Germa’s Emotionless Excursion” ends with Judge and Caesar reforming the group under the name Neo MADS.
For info: there's no Akihiro Ota this episode... It's the Whole 1062 Crew for Garp section... Again SB by Ishizuka(btw he is my fav rn for SB) scenes directed by Honehone(1074) .. Animation Vincent and Chris(1062 King attack duo)... Hope this helps👍🏻👍🏻

Hibari is supposedly Akainu's daughter as they are the only 2 characters in the manga speaking in the same japanese dialect. Kind of ironic how close she is with koby and the fact that aokiji froze her .
Just letting you know Ota didn’t work on this episode there were a couple animators on the first part of the garp scene and then the actual attack was Yen BM and the explosion was Vincent Chansard followed by Yen BM again for the rest of it they went crazy though
I find it kinda interesting that Garp's attacks are almost cosmic-named; like his fist Meteor & now Galaxy impact (especially with this technique-move confirming & showing that Garp has Conqueror's Haki).

In the manga, Galaxy Impact looks like a shockwave BUT in the anime, it looks like a fking NUKE And Garp says after Galaxy Impact: I'm not satisfied, i'm off my game! We are truly in the endgame stuff now when we are getting name attacks by Shanks and now Garp
2 years ago when the crew barely formed and he took half of them hostages to prevent blackbeard from going all out. Law was also willing to take on blackbeard, same for kidd, does that make them yonko level?
Aokiji and Akainu are clearly a decent step above the other admirals. hence why they were put forward for fleet admiral. Akainu and Aokiji are probably in that yonko tier but definitely not kizaru, fuji or ryokugyo.
This really puts into perspective just how much each major player were holding back during The War Of The Best. If Whitebeard, Sengoku, Garp or any of the Admirals truly went all out, Marineford would have been wiped off of the map in sheer seconds.
9:29 Fun fact. Galaxy impact is actually in garp’s moveset in pirate warriors 4. It’s an Arial attacks you press X then square when you have conquerors haki in your fist. I don’t why it’s not a named attack (probably so they won’t spoil anime watchers) but it’s definitely galaxy impact. I think it’s implying that the attack isn’t even one of his strongest since your using his prime version.

Garp is in a really tough spot now. He has to fight Kuzan, his former studenr whom he loves and cannot kill, and at the same time, he has to protect EVERYONE and fend off against all the BB pirates and available present commanders.. this is a 1 man army and he is handicapped and off-prime by a mile.
Fun fact: one peculiar thing about the sniper girl, that made fans start wild theories is her speech - she speaks with Hiroshima dialect. The only other person who speaks like that is Admiral Sakazuki.
I swear when Ishizuka works on a episode it always ends up being the best looking animated sequence in the entire series and now he’s once again outdone himself as well as the 5 animators who worked on the galaxy impact

The attack was cool but couldn't take out the scrubs. Garp losses this fight coming up in the anime. Aokiji lost to Akainu so you think Garp is doing anything. Aokiji didn't use awakening like when he fought Akainu. You still think Garp doing something at marineford? Garp is washed already and he can't beat Aokiji or Akainu. Sengoku saved Garp by not being like Ace. Ace got killed by messing with the big boys.

The attack was cool but couldn't take out the scrubs. Garp losses this fight coming up in the anime. Aokiji lost to Akainu so you think Garp is doing anything. Aokiji didn't use awakening like when he fought Akainu. You still think Garp doing something at marineford? Garp is washed already and he can't beat Aokiji or Akainu. Sengoku saved Garp by not being like Ace. Ace got killed by messing with the big boys.
