At no point does she say her mother slept with Unc.

Towards the end when the camera pans out and we get a glimpse of the snow and the mountains, it's actually very cleverly shot. It shows that even thousands of miles and across the ocean back home in USA, he brings home the mountains of Afghanistan and his war experiences. He's forever going to live with his actions.

The people who make the comments about spider-man miss the point about this movie. This was incredible performance and if someone who lived through Iraq and Afghanistan as a Hospital Corpsman I can relate to how this is. Since I got back I have lost 5 friends to suicide. They were good people and they went thru hell on earth just like I did: I still have my memories of some very dark days. Somehow I found my way back but they couldn't find their way home.

Tommy made the move on her and she accepted it so who knows if they did the dirty. She continued to be real close with him instead of being distant ...if Sam didn't come home she would had did the dirty with Tommy. Her statement is false Sam wasn't dead for that long maybe she didn't made love in so long but she should got very distant from Tommy especially after she accepted the kiss. Tommy wanted her and she was feeling weak from Sam being away for so long who knows she want it then on top of that loosing Sam. It's all Tommy fault for wanting his brother wife like why would you want your brother's wife soon after he supposedly died. She being weak and emotional she would had end up smashing Tommy. That's why she should had stop being so close to Tommy but she didn't like she was inviting in feelings for him.

Literally all of those are wrong dude. It’s not cheating if your partner died (he didn’t but can’t blame her when everyone thought he’d died). Even if he didn’t die, it’d been months or years at that point, you can’t expect a partner to wait for you when you’re presumed dead. Second, I don’t see why she can’t get with her spouse’s brother after he “died”. She had to move on eventually, and even though they didn’t get together, it would’ve been perfectly fine if they did. I know if I died I’d want my wife to be with the best man she could find, and my brother is one of the best people I know. And lastly, she couldn’t continue living with this man who wasn’t who she married. He’d changed obviously and she’s gotta protect herself and do what’s best for her.

I disagree. If you’re not happy in a relationship you have every right to paint an ultimatum. Not something I would do but I think it is still okay. It normally ends up being the end of the relationship anyways, but communication is key and that sort of ultimatum is essentially asking for better communication, which is fair in my book.

This was one of the best emotion scene ever on this movie....Tobey maguire did the fantastic role for this movie.....he is so real.... hope he gets a better movie on this coming year as well as hope he doesn't go too much on alcoholic.....
Toby definitely did his research for this part and was fully invested. He is displaying someone trying their hardest to push through PTSD pain and dissociation to communicate/connect with others so accurately that as a clinician I would confuse this acting with the real thing. It's scary how talented top tier actors can be given the right characters and material.
Totally agree with you about this. Sadly nonstop having to choose an make choices which either of will weigh on you forever. Almost like a bench press slowly adding more and more weight on you. Some people can take it and grow but sadly some just can't lift it up. Sometimes the weight of our choices are too heavy and the bar just can't be lifted.

My ex has PTSD and it also affects the sufferer’s loved ones. She was at her wit’s end trying to support him while he repeatedly shut her out.

It's funny how a lot of women think grace did no wrong, just goes on to show that how women aren't held accountable to their actions at all.

3. Don't ever give an ultimatum to a PTSD patient, especially when you have done the above two
Literally all of those are wrong dude. It’s not cheating if your partner died (he didn’t but can’t blame her when everyone thought he’d died). Even if he didn’t die, it’d been months or years at that point, you can’t expect a partner to wait for you when you’re presumed dead.
Second, I don’t see why she can’t get with her spouse’s brother after he “died”. She had to move on eventually, and even though they didn’t get together, it would’ve been perfectly fine if they did. I know if I died I’d want my wife to be with the best man she could find, and my brother is one of the best people I know.
And lastly, she couldn’t continue living with this man who wasn’t who she married. He’d changed obviously and she’s gotta protect herself and do what’s best for her.

I disagree. If you’re not happy in a relationship you have every right to paint an ultimatum. Not something I would do but I think it is still okay. It normally ends up being the end of the relationship anyways, but communication is key and that sort of ultimatum is essentially asking for better communication, which is fair in my book.

Toby definitely did his research for this part and was fully invested. He is displaying someone trying their hardest to push through PTSD pain and dissociation to communicate/connect with others so accurately that as a clinician I would confuse this acting with the real thing. It's scary how talented top tier actors can be given the right characters and material.
There is no end of war, it never ends. The battlefield just changes. There will always be war and conflict, it never ends.

Totally agree with you about this. Sadly nonstop having to choose an make choices which either of will weigh on you forever. Almost like a bench press slowly adding more and more weight on you.
