- This week I travel the Lake District, with Cumbria Tourism, and explore the Lake District National Park West Coast. 🌲
We explore Kendal, Ulveston and Barrow-in-Furness all whilst Lake District camping in my stealth campervan.
We also tick off some of the top Lake District attractions and things to do in the Lake District including Sizergh Castle, Muncaster Castle and Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway on this Lake District holiday.

Born & bred in Cumbria, Cumberland, we used to go to Muncaster castle when we were kids, the picture of Tom the jester used to scare me when I was little, he is why we say Tom foolery.
I was brought up in the country what u don't do around cows is 🏃♀️ run as they will also run just walk and don't wear red as children we often crossed a field of cows and never had a problem. Enjoy the rest of your trip, im enjoying coming along the way. Thanx again stay safe

There is a guy in Grange that has a driveway sale every Sunday. He’s near to the roundabout with the charity shop on, great for a rummage on a sunny day.
Ah no way! Shame we didn't know this before visiting...or maybe it's a good thing, could have got stuck there with Lauren all day haha.

@@CharliePauly Yup, though sadly I realised this episode was centred around things at the completely opposite end of the park to where we were staying. We went for the final week of the school holidays (before I returned to teaching again last week) and used some of the recommendations from your 1st trip. Walla Crag marginally missed out on being my favourite day, but it was all kinds of epic. Saw a Kestrel, Peregrine Falcon and the UK's legless lizard that looks like a snake - throw in the views and the whole day just blew my mind. Aria Force was also fab, but a massive tree fell a few months ago, took out the stairs to the bottom of the falls and is currently blocking the whole stone bridge - very different to the photos from your blog! Was immensely grateful for the Walla Crag suggestion as I'd not known about it until you guys introduced me to it!

Nice little vlog, we've just got a camper converted and live in Kendal and it's really extended our days and obviously overnights too. Always fun when tourists or even locals aren't sure as to their van sizes when negotiating traffic on our narrow country lanes but slow is pro and patience is needed. PS it's Scafell Pike 😂 love the vlogs and positivity guys

Great vlog guys! Love the Lakes Peninsula. We stay at Meathop Fell, which is just outside Grange, when we travel south from Scotland. Beautiful part of the country.

Lovely Muncaster Castle and the bird display there. Been on the train a few times too. Glad you enjoyed it. Never been to Furness Abbey but next time I visit my Auntie it is only about 5 minutes away from hers so I will be visiting there.
Such a great place and the guys were so helpful! Yes, the Abbey was quite interesting and the free camping was a hit!

Great vlog. Been on that little train a few times when our boys were young. I don't think Ravensglass is the prettiest of places, always looked a bit run down. Muncaster Castle is lovely and so is the sticky toffee pudding yummy!!!! Definitely worth buying 🙂 xx

Another great vlog. I used to love walking around old castles. You Charlie are getting so good at being a tour guide. One question, in your desperate rush to get Sticky Toffee Pudding did you have time to put your parking ticket on top of the parking metre for somebody else to use as I think it went up to 6pm. Poor Lauren with her voice. With how close you two are I'm surprised you never caught it Charlie. Always love a small gauge train journey. Would love to say that I caught sight of a ghost on your vlog but nothing I'm afraid. Graham
Haha I think I'm actually enjoying the geeky side of being a youtube tour guide too. Yes, stuck the sticker back on the machine to pay it forward! Haha imagine looking back at the footage and seeing a ghost...I'd delete the whole vlog!

We go to the lakes every year been to all the places you visited never short of visitors the lakes we love it . Did you not see the heron feeding at muncaster castle there’s another one for the Lake District tourism board .
Can't beat the Lake District to show off a bit of England. No we must have missed that, all the more reason to return haha!
The heron feeding at muncaster castle takes place every day , loads of heron turn up at the same time every day for there feed it’s brilliant. Sad you missed it it really is worth seeing .

Next time guys, sticky toffee pudding, was in foil, you could of put bit of water in the bottom of a pan and warmed through as it was already cooked guys, Luv in it guys 👍❤️😘

While I really enjoyed your blog you were actually on the south coast of the Lake District , you missed a trick by not venturing further north up the west coast beyond Muncaster . Places like Seascale ( Beach ) , Wastwater ,, Ennerdale Lake , St Bees ( Beach St Bes Head Bird colonies ) , Whitehaven Georgian Port famous for the last invasion of England by John Paul Jones of the American Navy 1779 , Maryport Roman Ruins , Silloth on Solway increíble Victorian cobbled road : You need to contact Cumbria Tourism to get another trip planed .
