I think the servers aren't yet where they need to be. Before release we were told a 100MBps ingernet connection was needed for the enhanced settings. I have a 1 Gig connection, yet ground textutes are blurry, including runways taxiways etc. The only thing that renders crisp and clean is the trees. Buildings and ground very blurry. Very frustrating as i can see the massive potential of the sim
What i don't hear anyone talking about is how terrible the new tablet EFB is. I'd much have a separate VFR map and payload app. I cant even find the MTOW/Useful load anymore! Just give me the old menu back please!
Oh I like the EFB. I especially like how it traces where to go in the airport to taxi to runway when you've entered the flight plan. You can also shift it to a second screen.
@Petercrossed I guess I'm spoiled by Navigraph, but I still can't figure out the payload page. If we can't get the relevant information, it's going to be a problem for Neofly or Air Hauler.
@@MrCrazyjoe259 I miss the VFR maps (but then again, it's only been a month since I stopped Navigraph). Waiting it out to push me to look deeper into the EFB first. You can enter the payload still in Simbrief. Then download in EFB ?

I just want my MTOW and useful load in a convenient place like the last game, yet now im expected to look up the real POH of the aircraft when i want to configure the airplane to full MTOW? why? Why can't they just put that information in like the old payload menu had?
Still cannot get into Career Mode...judging from the comments everywhere, only a small percentage can get it to come up and many who do find that it is glitchy. The weather looks pretty good as does some of the scenery but this is hardly worth the hype...more like an upgrade than anything worthy of a new full-price game. In my career I was responsible delivery of new products, systems and other major products and if I executed this poorly, I would have expected to be terminated along with my senior team. As with most others, I am hopeful the MS will fix this, but so far their efforts are a complete disgrace to the industry. At the very least, they should refund all purchase payments as a gesture of good will.
I'm about level 37 in career mode, I have to avoid certain missions due to fuel levels being bugged and not giving you enough. Your pilot rating score will also be dropped due to bugs.. flap speed warnings when you aren't even moving. I'm enjoying the fuck out of it still but damn it's a mess.
Works fine for high end pc on fiber in America using Xbox app. He mentioned a gtx card which would be short on memory. There are Plenty of bugs but I give it a 10 out of 10 so far. Just started a company last night. Hoping for free money when I log in in a moment.
on the controls, it doesnt explain what General settings are for, and what the difference is between that and aircraft settings as they both have the same options. I find the control setup system genuinely baffling.

I have the same stick as you and at first I never noticed it moving my view as I was using my VR headset. When I started using head tracking instead, that bleeding thumb stick kept moving my view to my feet. It took me a while to find it was that as well. I deleted the option in controls to fix mine. The sim is running great for me so far. I did leave it a couple of days before i bought it, so skipped all the 97% loading issue.

The settings controls are a mess and extremely convoluted. I have wasted hours trying to map the buttons on my Thrustmaster joystick. The throttle and elevator axis are reversed.
I’ve had very mixed feelings about this game. I’ve been playing on Xbox and having fun but there’s so many game breaking bugs I’ve ran into where I have to close and restart the game. I had an A rating built up then the game crashed and I went down to a C rating. I’ve skipped to decent and my controller no longer responds in game while still connected to my Xbox. I cannot wait for some stability updates because this game will be so fun but till then it’s quite frustrating to play at times.

It is a really good example of where a simple change perplexes those coming from MSFS2020 who want to jump in for a free-flight. (I did say - is there a button to sort this). But also noted no ready configured stick contols (perhaps by Rhino stick is a bit too advanced) to get the character to walk around. Could not find a key combination for that. It is probably there but it seems like its hurdle after furdle. At the very least, they could put a prompt at the top of the screen - which is there by default...Thanks. Much appreciated.
I have to disagree with the game part. It has become more of a game rather than a simulator, especially when you look at the training offered now vs then. On Fs 2002-FSX they had flight instructor Rod Machado teach various flight maneuvers and flight operations. There are assists in “career mode” that can’t be turned off. It’s almost equivalent to the flight training offered in Grand Theft Auto V.
Can someone please tell me how long you wait for the game to load on Series X? It just seems like people are loading it with no problems. I get stuck at 98% and never loads, and this is almost 1 week from its massive launch failure. I am puzzled.
I am on the series x what I did was uninstall it. And reinstalled it that worked for me. What I was noticing that one part of the sim was on my internal storage and the other part of sim was on the expansion storage. After i uninstalled it and reinstalled it and made sure they were on the same storage it worked for me. That's if you wanna say it worked lol. But for real it did start to work for me then but still a mess lol

There's two parts of the sim that should be on your internal storage the base part and the add-on support if the add-on support ain't there that might be your problem.
One more thing it could be I am straight wired from my router to my Xbox series x. If you using wireless try wired to see but if you are already wired that ain't it lol. It's not a bad sim but you ain't missing nothing. I stopped playing because it's not loading the ground a lot of time and the people sometimes looks like Roblox characters lol. But what's weird is that free flight works ok but career mode sucks lol.
I haven't even played a single minute of it yet. Gets stuck at 68% everytime. Tried reinstalling. Takes 45 min to get to 68% and stops. Left it running over night and it still showed 68%. I'm in the UK. Don't know what to do.
So sorry to hear that Chris. Those problems seemed to get sorted within the first 48 hours - but I think it depends on your internet connection and perhaps even, region.
Thanks for the reply. I've tried using a vpn and selecting a usa server, still stuck at 68%. On the ms FlightSim forum other people are still stuck on the opening screen, usually at 98% though. I will keep an eye on those posts and see if a fix is worked out.
I don't think the airport looks impressive, it looks like plastic, including the buildings and planes. 2020 airports look more like real buildings with a metal and weight feeling.
Thanks - was running 4k in 2020 - but the issue for me is around how the sim is supposed to ultilise multiple cores, thereby allowing graphics cards to take more of the load, rather than the CPU being the bottleneck. The evidence I have so far is that the supply of the cloud data is delaying the rendering. I will look and see what the multple cores are doing.

THats a really helpful point and a whole other area. I did find the map on the EFB a bit buggy/clunky/slow

Very good experience yesterday here in Canada and with several Aircraft. Just can't wait to be able to save custom cockpit views.
You can already, controls settings>keyboard controls>change to msfs 2020 keyboard

It works for me. Aside a crash, it works. They still have to improve it and fix bugs, but I d say it is ok

I agree anyone should be entitled to a refund. There's going to be a class action lawsuit otherwise
I know the 5800X3D doesn't bottleneck the 4090 as bad when everything is set on Ultra. Plenty of room for improvement though.

When I tried to use the plane that drops water and binded the key it went to the specific aircraft settings.

I'd avoid career, and maybe free flight mode for now. discovery flights, challenges, and photographer mode seem to have much fewer issues.

Running in 4k with a system that stutters. lol. 2560× 1440 would be a far better resolution for a much better experience and fps.
