not for me. the action is just right and standard. the d'addario strings that comes with it however is hard because the guage is "12. i changed my string to 9 lowered my truss rod and reduced the saddle height with sand paper. because i play fingerstyle it's pretty low now. i only spent around $8 for the d addario string. the sand paper is dead cheap and it already included a hex wrench to adjust truss rod. the problem you will have is if you don't manually change the height and have somebody do it because they can price you hugh amount if in case. there are youtube videos for you to follow on
