  • Last year in the playoffs we saw flashes of Duncan Robinson expanding his game to put the ball on the floor a little more, and so far this year Robinson has been one of the biggest surprises in his improvements in playmaking and shot creation.

    His defense has improved too. Still lacking lateral speed and quickness. But he finally realized he’s 6’7 with a 7’1 wingspan. Like, “Oh, if I don’t give up so soon I can be super annoying even when the guy I’m guarding has a half step on me.”

      So much of it is confidence, as he himself recently said. Before this season, Robinson thought the only reason he was in the NBA was for his 3-point shooting. Obviously, it still is and always will be his greatest weapon, but he's developed more confidence in other areas of his game. He started trusting his skill on the drive and finishing around the rim and has developed into a more complete threat, sort of an "outside-in" game where he's learning how to use the threat of his 3-point shooting to open up passing and driving lanes, like Steph Curry.

    Most Improved Player of the Year candidate, at least. As a Heat fan, I followed his career. The irony is that the Heat actually told him to just shoot the ball since G league. That's it. Just like Herro, he probably heard the bad noise about his value, and took it upon himself to drive, and not only shoot.

      Jovic is not it. JJJ proved if you have “IT” youll be in the rotation. Jovic doesnt even want to be here anymore send his as away from some draft capital or an actual PG

    So you thought the team that went on a playoff run missing their second best scoring option and has made the ecf 3 out of 4 years in a row WITH a young core in bam herro Duncan and now Caleb! Was a fluke?

    • @quintupleovertime
      @quintupleovertime  5 месяцев назад +2

      I don’t think i said that, just that I wasn’t the highest on them coming in to the season. They’re shooting was mediocre last year until the playoffs, and they lost a few key role players. But i still expected them to be a playoff team easily. I did say they’re proving it’s not a fluke, even though I wouldn’t pick them to make the finals again. But ya never know

      that's literally every other teams' fan is saying every year. miami heat keep on beating tough teams on playoffs, but somehow when the next season starts people always think they're not a strong team lol.

      I said they’re out to prove it wasn’t a fluke, not that it was. Big difference
