Depleted nuclear waste is more dangerous concern which remains unaddressed.
Orissa has a large thorium reserve in its beaches and a large reserve of coal, iron ore and aluminium. Now think of a three phase nuclear power plant which could use this thorium to produce electricity and use this electricity to power integrated steel and aluminium plants. It will be a game changer a non perishable power source and non perishable iron source.

I want to see stage 3 in all over india by 2045 to 50 so that we can be energy independent and our people and industries will enjoy cheap, clean energy. This will make our products much more price compititive as well as a good destination for foreign companies to setup manufacturing as mandate for fossil fuel get stringent by the year due to global warming.

India has the biggest reserve of thorium. Hecke India must develop her own technology to use thorium as fuel for atomic energy. This is the only ultimate best way out. This will make India independent in international geo politics and self dependent.

This is very bad for the environment, India doesn't have the need for these nuclear power plant
The problem is that we are not part of the NSG, and our existing nuclear power plants are running at lower capacity than they could due to a shortage of nuclear fuel. We also lack sufficient uranium deposits to meet our needs. Therefore, even if we build more nuclear power plants, it won't make much difference. We should focus on reaching the third stage of our three-step nuclear program to eliminate the need to import nuclear fuel and to reduce our dependency on others for our energy needs.
