I completely agree with your assessment of the Carnival Chef’s Table. For some reason Carnival knows how to do these experiences better than any other cruise line - I’ve done Celebrity, Princess, and Carnival on multiple ships, and the Carnival experience consistently shines above the rest! From the service, the extensive menu (over 10 courses!), the creative and unique food, beautiful presentation and private entertainment (magician, illusionist…) the wine pairings INCLUDED in your drink package (unlike the aggressive upsell from even the premium package on Celebrity), the overall experience is always an A++++ 👏🏻. I’m on a 4-day on Carnival Radiance in December and reserved Chefs Table immediately - totally worth the price! 😊 Thanks for the great review -

In case you’re having heard, there’s a shortage of staff. I had a great time. No complaints from me and, besides life to short to be complaining about nothing. I just go with the flow and thank the lord up above that I’m blessed and grateful to be cruising because most people can. Happy Cruising !

I went on in June and had a blast but at lunch time the lines on the lido deck would be too much
Interesting review ! We live in CA and are considering taking the Venezia or one of their former Costa Italian influenced ships out of LA down to Mexico - to try them out. Thus this review meant a lot to us. On a side but applicable topic: Like you and your wife mentioned, what is the deal with door-slammers and folks who go in and out of their stateroom and/or veranda constantly? Then you put the two noise-polluters together and regardless of the time of day, I'm ready to down a vodka martini to numb my eardrums !!! We have not yet cruised Carnival but we do cruise on a regular basis with HAL, Princess and Celebrity. Same issues with all three cruise lines, and also on Princess and Celebrity, we'll add veranda smokers to the list of ridiculous behaviors NTM a huge safety issue. My husband and I 'rat them out' to cruise security every time !!! And boy do they get a scolding as they deserve. 99 percent of cruising is FABUOULS as you two can attest to and so can we, so that makes cruising such a marvelous form of vacationing and the ultimate in relaxion. We just wish we had you two as our neighbors LOL t !!! Cheers !!!

I plan on booking this ship in October or November 2024 for an 11 or 12 night cruise. It’s a very different ship compared to what I’m used to. I’m looking forward to a great time
I think the ship would be much more enjoyable on a longer itinerary.

Your description of the embarkation process sounds like my experience at Canada Place in Vancouver before a Holland America cruise. HA did what it could but Canada Place just sucks as a cruise terminal; it wasn't designed for large modern cruise ships at full capacity (let alone multiple ships at the same time).

i'm doing this very cruise september 27th next year. hope its less crowded with the kiddies being back in school.
You had me at 5K cruisers……NOT for us! We would not enjoy a ship that crowded. We also would not do a 4 day cruise for many of the same reasons you stated. I like your reviews and appreciate your balanced commentary. Cheers to you and Ricki! Happy cruising 🎉

The Venezia was built for for the Asia Market and as you know Asia are not big Folks like us American 🇺🇸.
This is also why the pool area is smaller, from what I read/watched - nothing to do with the size of folks, but more what would interest the Asian market/customers.
Lots of negativity, sounds like you had lots to complain about. Go with the flow it will make life easier.
I am sorry you feel that we had a lot to complain about. Most of our concerns were a result of it only being a 4-day cruise. The ship was beautiful and the stateroom was comfortable. Generally, the food was good. It was just very crowded.
It is NY, stick with the Southern Cruises better group of people by far...
