This is so freaking cool. I’ve played with a couple old Sony 37s been along time. But they were so cool on drums. David is a genius. I bet this is insane.
If the Mojave recreates the same sound as the Sony, then the Sony sound is not "unique" as you say, right? Maybe it would be better to say that the Sony sound is "distinctive" or "memorable" instead.
The Sony was introduced in the late 50s and sounded like no other mic. The MA-37 was introduced in 2022. That’s a 60+ year solo run for the Sony. Doesn’t that qualify for ‘unique’?
