- ❄️ If you aren’t here in the Midwest of the United States, you might not know we are seeing some of the coldest weather in decades. The lows over the next 36 hours are going to be -20 F (-29 C) with windchills that will make the air feel like -35 F. I don’t mind cold but this is something else. So, all the water taps in my house have to be left lightly running or they will freeze. My daughter hasn’t had school this week and likely won’t the remainder. ❄️ I still have to work in the morning so pray for me that my car will start. 😂

read the description. i’m from the midwest too and boy it’s too cold for anything over here. i hope your car can start!! on days you don’t have to go anywhere, you should still start your car - it’s harder to get it going if it’s been sitting in the bitter cold for days.

OMG! Even italian newscasts make mention to the artic cold weather in the Midwest. -29°C O.O for me it's incredible 'cause I live in the south of Italy and here it's really warm during the winter. It rarely snows! Here the coldest temperature reaches -2/ -3°C, but it's an exception. Normally it doesn't go lower than 0°C.
Soooo... Lots of hot chocolate, hot soups, eggnog, wool blankets and sweaters! Be careful driving!!!

You are very welcome I was born in the Midwest and i visit mostly during winter and it is SUPER cold .
Ps one thing you can do is take a old sock and put rice in it and put it in the microwave for 2:30 and should stay warm for about 15, 20 minutes or so
Our weather rn is -27 which is the norm for winter 😂
