@@mosesjacksonkarashani2642 it's because of the circulation of money. people tend to migrate where there is good environment for business and money. Mombasa may have old ancient buildings but it's economy is bigger than that of Dar.

When ur in Tanzania,u see beautiful scenes and clean streets...When u cross the border to Kenya u start to see small houses and dirty streets,congested..Why this?
along the coast other than mombasa most places are underdeveloped.most of the big towns and cities are located further in the western and geographical center of the country

Yes...Mombasa is one of the most densely populated cities in East Africa
We have people from Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and Congo living there which has added to the population.
