has there been any (or many) equipmnet banned by the FIE from any other company but Leon Paul (uk company)? do you have any idea when (or if...lol) the bayonet system will be restored? as you said no info. provided re the ban just that I guess as english he FIE doens't like it..... most recent bans the FIE epee blade, then gave a hard time to leon paul masks and now the bayonet socket - I have always used bayanet and our club looked at that and 2 pin in the 80's and 90's and the decision was easy - the bayonet as it formed a good connection and you didn;t have to lick the pins to ensure a good connection ...

The bayonet system is especially good for junior fencers, as it is easier and more intuitive to connect, in my humble and worthless opinion.
