My dogs do the same thing with their vitamins and joint pills. I ask them if they want a cookie and give them the pills and they’ll happily take them, then spit them out, taste again, spit out again, give me a dirty look because they know it wasn’t really a cookie and then finally eat it. 😁 Merry Christmas to you and your family!
