The "You forgot to take the chicken out" I believe is about growing up, especially in a black/poc household. Often, one of the shared experiences amongst us is having both little to no privacy, and having to take meat out to defrost for our parents before they get home, lol. A lot of her references are about growing up black, nerdy, and queer.

Idk if anyone had already said this but the chicken part wasn’t random. She was having alone time on her laptop like you said because she was home alone but her mom busts in and starts saying “Doechii, you forgot to take the chicken out” this song is almost a diary/introduction of Doechii and the things she’s been through. As a black child a staple in our household was forgetting to take the chicken out of the freezer so it can thaw out before our parents get home to cook. Then she goes on to say “sum sum sum sum” cause usually the phrase is followed by a speech about dishes being in the sink or forgetting to take the trash out amongst other things parents nag about. Very small but intentional details

If you want to hear Doechii sing, do her song What It Is feat. Kodak Black. It got her, her first Billboard entry earlier this year. As far as I know there is no beef. Doja Cat and Nicki worked together before and haven't publicly fallen out. Nicki follows Doechii and Doja has shouted out Doechii and has her on The Scarlet Tour this year.
