WipEout on PS5 generally runs smoothly! You can see the slight difference in quality from the PS4 version, It’s much faster on the loading too. You can see when I return to the main menu it’s almost instant! However, I have ran into issues with controller inputs though. Sometimes when I steer or airbrake, it doesn’t register and I have to press it again to register, usually resulting in me slamming into the wall. It’s very infrequent that it happens though.
You go for it! It’s worth it! 😁 And it will definitely be a grind! To gain enough distance, you’ll have to do at the bare minimum 4,000 laps of a 10km circuit. It’s quite nightmarous! And amazingly, Omega Collection took me under 2 weeks to platinum! I was very, very fast. One of my fastest platinums. Omega collection I wouldn’t really say is too hard but can take a bit of time
The servers aren’t shut off or dead or anything just yet, but I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing this same error. It’s happening on most games currently so I’ve seen. And I did see that PSN was having an outage.. so I’m sure it’ll be back soon

From the games I own and have downloaded on PS5 (including PS4 games), the only games that have a theme tune that plays that I know of so far when hovering over is Kabounce, Astro’s Playroom, Super Stardust Ultra and RESOGUN. Everything else I own simply plays the PS5 Home Screen music so it seems

And to be honest, it can be dead most days, but there’s always at least a lobby online, and also the leaderboards are always being updated so you have stuff to do always.. And it’s quite easy to get a lobby going, and it populates fairly quickly. I say the game is worth purchasing still. The platinum trophy is very obtainable so if you’re looking for trophies, the trophies are more or less the same in omega collection. And Hahaha.. I managed to get Beat Zico on my first lap.. so I wouldn’t know what pain you went through getting it (after a turbo start!£
There are amendments to be made, this was just a test video to see what it would look like on YT. I’ll see if I can improve it overtime. But for now, it looks okay for me! Not really too sure how to up the bitrate though, I deliberately put it on Max Quality settings
It definitely runs faster! From what I’ve calculated so far, loading times for PS4 games are only around 20-25% of its standard loading time time on PS5 if that gives you a rough estimate. I tried this on Kabounce and on PS4 it takes 2 minutes to load... and on PS5 it took 24 seconds. Rather fast! As for frame rate, I’m sure it’s 60fps, but sure as hell looks better! By all means, it could be 120fps! Be sure to check it out for yourself!

That’s still bloody good. 4K60fps on PS4 Pro is good. I think the only difference on PS5 is the loading times are a lot quicker and it runs a bit more smoothly overall.
i think there is the reason why wipeout was dying a realls slow death. the tracks are way too short. redout 1 did this far better. and now with the release of redout 2 comes the last nail for the coffin.
Hey great video! I have a ps5 as well, and when I save clips, it looks great, but as soon as I upload them to youtube the quality is terrible even at (1080p60). The youtube version doesn't even come close to how the recording looks. Are ideas?
Thank you! And Ahhhh, may sound obvious some of these things, but have you checked your quality settings on PS5? I recommend having them at the highest quality both for broadcast and recording. Also, I know some devices that have RUclips only go up to 1080p60, but most should support 2160p60HDR. Worth noting also, I usually edit and render clips in SHAREFactory Studio, they usually make it crispy clear! Also, if you usually broadcast on PS5, the quality takes a toll too. Be sure to check your recordings also. If they have a 4KTV symbol on them, they should appear 4K on RUclips when you upload them. 4K can only be recorded on 4KTVs and 4KHDR required a 4KTV with HDR support Hope some/all of those things help you 🙂
