    Time for another rambling session with me! Today, I want to explain my comment from the other day about the "blue bottles". I probably won't be using these products much longer. BUT... I wanted to also mention that I'm not trying to bash the company in any way. Just retelling my experience. If you have anything that you would like to share, please leave them comments down below.     So.. for those who still don't know... the company is Wholesale Supplies Plus. The blue bottles are crafters choice brand (their brand). I really hope they [pull it together because I really do like their products.

      I use Berlin Packaging for my shave tubs I think they are comparable in price.

      OMG I thought you were talking about Brambleberry !! I thought they were the only ones who didnt give a f*** about their customers. Now I know the problem is rampant with all the soap supplies companies. I truly do not understand why customers continue to tolerate and reward these companies for their sub standard services.

      @@anastasia10017 not ALL supply companies. There are some really good ones that have amazing customer service still. Unfortunately WSP is buying up a lot of “smaller” companies and then turning them to crap with their horrible shipping time.

      Omg! Yes, I can’t believe they would have me wait a month before they even shipped my stuff and then they sent me 250 bottles with no caps - but they didn’t back order my caps- they didn’t offer me alternatives. They just did a refund for caps & had the nerve to Bach order a fragrance oil! What the heck do I need the fragrance when I can’t sell any dang body wash without caps!!! They have cancelled a different order & I have been fed up with the same excuses & im done with them as well. It’s been the last three orders since the new year.

      I just went through the same sort of massively delayed shipping problem. When I emailed regarding my order, I was told it was because it was a bulk item. I fail to see how that makes logical sense when it wasn’t a bulk item order and
      their website says they have it in stock. I got my order after about 5 weeks ( order to door). Glad to know it’s not just me!!!!

    I'm just a hobby guy when it comes to soap making. I'm also a self employed electrical contactor. If I fail a customer, I lose a customer. Uncle Jon did a very good job of "telling the Momma the baby's ugly". Thanks for your videos!

    What’s going on Jon, this is Josh from El Paso. I am so glad I saw this video. I was about to place a $250 order with unsaid company. Thank you so much for your input. Probably saved me a tone of time, money, frustration and stress. And you never know how your voice can impact someone. I tell ten soaper friends and they tell ten soaper friends. It can snowball effect. But if that’s how their customer service is, that’s their fault.

    WSP, is an awful company! My wife and I used to use them for years as one of our major suppliers. We spent tons of money with them. After Debbie left it fell of the rails and never returned! They are chugging along on gravel! Our last order was awful, broken bottles, broken containers, missing product, and 38 days past their 5-9 business days! No more. We use Soapers Choice for bulk and Nature's Garden and Bramble Berry for fragrance. Soapers Choice 3-5 days on my porch, Bramble Berry is clear across the country and takes 9-12 days. We also use Bescented and they are awesome and so are their products. 7 days max on delivery. My wife uses Save on Citric/ Make Your Own. Buzz for most shampoo, body wash, bath fizzie things! We are more than satisfied! Oh and Mad Micas for color! Much better service!!!

    EVERY soaping group I'm in on Facebook has had numerous threads about how TERRIBLE their shipping, order fulfillment, and customer service has gotten since acquiring several smaller companies.

    Yes people do not understand I am not Amazon. I’m not shipping cross country in 24 hours with free shipping on your 12 pounds of candles and soap 😂. Glad to see I’m not the only one dealing with that mentality.

    I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I knew exactly what/who/why just by the mention of the blue bottle. This problem is just so incredibly wide spread. Love your channel!!!!

    I 100% agree! I LOVED WSP. It was a 1 stop shopping but now it's like a 6 week wait!!!, UNLESS you spend 15 bucks to "jump the line". So now it's 30 bucks for 2, 8oz bottles for 40 bucks plus 15.00 plus the shipping and handling. Now you looking at 75 bucks! So, I'm done with WSP unless I absolutely need something that I even can't find on Amazon. And I love their whole Amber line of fragrances. Their Dakkar dupe is spot on after a week cure it's amazing! But their policies just don't add up to buy from them anymore. If anyone knows of a great Amber line please let me know! I'll be more than happy to support them! Thank you for the video. I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one who was thinking this way.

    I am having EXACTLY the same issue and experience with "THEM." If you note, the lead time also seems to change almost daily. It goes from 5 to 7 to 8 to 10 to almost 14 days. They also bought
    Rustic Essentials in South Carolina, not more than an hour from me and now it is the same issue with them too !!! If you can't get an order out, you need more help !!! At some point, the business is going to suffer and people will go somewhere else to buy.

    Yes, I had the issue of having to order supplies elsewhere because my WSP order didn't come in time. Eventually, it boiled down to: my time has value, and having to keep following up on orders makes the products too expensive. Contrast that with Mad Micas, who has always shipped my orders on time, and their colors are awesome. I'm sympathetic about the issues with employees and COVID, but I think one should either figure out how to staff appropriately, or change the website to set expectations correctly.

    I’ve had some frustrations with this company and the delays as with everyone else, BUT personally have had really good experience with their customer service! Love their products!

    Thank you for making this video. I’m new to soap making and I’m finding that I really enjoy it. I’ve gotten some great tips from you and other soap makers. This video couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.
    My wife and I decided we wanted to start a small soap business. A small p/t business at first just to see if we could do it. We’ve really been enjoying this endeavor but the one thing that’s been discouraging us has been the ability to get supplies in a timely manner. Like I said, I’m new so I was sucked into WSP’s free shipping and good prices, plus the one stop convenience. 3 times I ordered thinking “maybe it won’t happen next time.” Nope, 3 orders each taking at least 3 weeks to arrive. Bramble Berry is a little better but still wildly inconsistent. One order took 5 days to arrive another took 15, and all items were in stock. Thanks to this video, and the comments that were left, I know there are alternatives for my supplies. We don’t have to give up on our dream of starting our own business.
    Much love and respect to everyone in the soap making community. Thank you to everyone who has offered me tips and advice.

    AMEN! I am so sick of the "but covid..." excuses. They've had a full year, like the rest of us, to adjust. "Covid" is not a valid reason for poor customer service.

      Yes same here. Companies are using the pandemic to take forever to send out. That’s why I’m using Amazon prime now because like you said it effects our customers now

    Same experience here. It's a real shame and the difference drive Debbie stepped back is startling. Thank you for sharing. It just confirms my decision was the correct one.

    I'm with you here!! It has seriously gotten out of hand! Not only are they dragging in lead time, the communication is non existent! I cringe having to order certain things from them! You spend hundreds of dollars and are forced sit and wait... Can't afford that anymore!

    I agree. It takes almost 3 1/2 weeks to get my stuff. So, I’ve gone to other places. I’m willing to pay more to get my stuff quicker from other companies. If the other companies can do it so can they.

    Seems like since the new CEO took over last year, the new owners driving customers away. Sadly, they've recently purchased 3 other companies. I hope they don't ruin those companies.

      That's irritating cuz I really liked rustic essentials ,never really cared for elements, that much. I did a test order from a company called, make your own.

      Sooo they bought Rustic Essential?! I had a tiny order ,and was shocked about the S/ H Fee, I was not happy , I do not remember paying that before with original owner. I was told oh yes original owner did charge that , ((((( I sure don't remember that !!!)))and them not doing the free sample anymore . I've ordered from them probably for way over 10 years probably 15 actually. Before the buy out . I don't plan on ordering from them again .

    Things have absolutely gone to pot ever since Debbie left. It was the video tutorials/lives that I found myself missing the most, surprisingly; gave the company a human touch. Now their TAT times are atrocious (maybe if they stop having all these nonstop "sales"), pricing has gone up, quality has gone down, and it all feels so soulless now. My last order had NO cushion or packaging consideration resulting in some of my containers arriving cracked. And now it's upsetting to see them snatch up two smaller companies I like as well. Just hoping they don't dirty the water any further than they already have.

    I use to order from them a lot but last October I tried to order some lavender 40-42 and some other scents and after 6 weeks, I finally get the box only to find out that 1 bottle was broken, peppermint and the lavender mysteriously turned into lemongrass. It took me 3 months to finally get it. Nope, I'm done

    Placed my order March 18th and the UPS label was just prepared today the 30th. Hope it actually ships tomorrow. Crazy lead times and will look for alternative suppliers !!

    Haha funny! I live in NZ. We have to wait WEEKS for delivery. Most everything comes from overseas. And add Covid, well, I place an order and just forget about it. It might arrive one day!

    Gas lighting!! Never take the blame. Just had a case of gas lighting from that popular BB company. I had a discoloration blamed on " oh it went through gel phase"... Only it didn't. I know, I made the bloody soap! They just slyly changed their soaping notes to what I had experienced, but took zero responsibility for having it wrong to begin with. Thanks for your honesty!!

    Yes! I had the same issue with this company. Now I'm SUPER small, but I had to source some things from another company that's smaller than this company but definitely more reliable! Thank you for addressing this specific thing!

      If I could afford to hold stuff for months on end, I would just order larger quantities and then probosolved. But, man.. that would require a warehouse and a backer...lol

    I'm new to soapmaking and ordered from this company because of the "free shipping". Took muuuuch longer than any other supplier. I contacted "customer no service" and got no help. Likely to send my business elsewhere too.

      Free shipping isn’t always the best deal. What if you just needed that ONE thing? It’s time consuming but go through the suppliers you do biz with, look up each item and if they charge shipping, do a test order to calculate approx shipping per item. I’ve found that some of,the biggest names ends up costing more per ounce/gram with free shipping, than others that charge shipping. You just can’t rely on when a company is having a sale to get the best deal.

    I applaud you!!!! I placed an order from them and it should have been shipped in plenty of time for me to receive and make up a special order I had .. I actually had to resort to Amazon that did come through for me or I would have been screwed!!! I have since received my order, but that will be the last!! So worried about the other companies they recently acquired as I use 2 quite frequently!!

    I have put in some high price orders with them and I get broken product. Month long waits, excuses from customer service, etc. for the last 18 months, I'm done! I was 12 months ago! After my last oder came broken and 38 days beyond their 5 to 9 business days. I reworked everything, even got better pricing! So win win and I dont have to put up with ignorance!!!

    Hi! This video popped up on my timeline!! This is so true! My last 2 orders, I had to call and ask where is my stuff???? I literally called yesterday to find out about my order I placed on the 21st! Mind you I had to wait almost 2 months for the particular container I needed. That totally screwed up my release timeline.

    I left them long ago. I have my regular suppliers now who have reasonable shipping, lead times and quality. Ive had much better luck with the smaller suppliers.

      @@unclejonssoap you can only do so much and when you own a business I'm sure you know people are free to review you and if it's your product that sucks, orlogistics that suck or just your basic customer service, it's all fair game to be commented on as far as I'm concerned. There are artisans that I stopped using strictly because of the customer service. It's excuse after excuse after excuse, the weather, the supplier, the unexpected amount of orders etc. It doesn't matter how great your product is if getting your product is a hassle I won't use it I won't even bother.

    ehh, I mostly only buy lye flakes from WSP since they seem to be the only place the carries them for only like $10, Mostly just buy my oils from Bulk Apothecary, and most of my fragrance oils from Natures Garden or CandleScience; my only issue with Natures Garden and CandleScience, is that their reactivity testing in soap seems to be a little inaccurate some of the time. I really like Brambleberry and how most of their fragrance oils will clearly state all that could happen, but Brambleberry's fragrance oils always seem a little too pricey to me. I've seen competitors carry similar scents for nearly half the price sometimes.

    I live 20 minutes from them. It takes 2-3 weeks to get my order. They won't even let you do curbside pick up!!!

    So glad you made this video Jon. I am soooooo done with this company and they used to be one of my favorites. Now I'm sick that they took over Rustic Essentials because they were a great company with excellent customer service. And you don't need to be afraid use their name. They can't sue you for speaking facts. You're just realying the truth of what happened to you and people need to know. Their unprofessionalism and blaming the customer is UNEXCUSABLE and I just had the same experience calling to find out where my order is that was placed 18 flippin' days ago! Never again. There are many great companies out there that take customer service seriously and deserve our business!

    I previously had no problems in March last year getting things within 2 weeks and I live in ND. However with this company only I have had to now wait 4 weeks to get supplies when others I get within 2 weeks. I know where I live it’s gonna be a lot longer but yes it shouldn’t take this long and items on sale I know now it will be close to a month and half before I receive my orders from this company. So I have chosen to go with other companies.

      Who do you use? I’m trying to find a better supplier (like everyone else lol) but also a new FO company instead of Aztec.

      @@mysticmaidensoaps2960 personally I have switched to Natures Garden for the reasons of quicker shipping, consistent usage rates of FO, and customer service is amazing. So far all of the fragrance oils, minus 2 that I can’t seem to find anyone else carries, have same scent as the previous company I used. Other things I need for my other products I make I have found through chemistry connection. I really had to do some searching over this year to source ingredients. Hope this helps.

    Yeah, I order when things are on sale and I am only replenishing as I am getting low. Recently I had a big tub of Coconut Oil arrive broken and UPS had to throw it away. They sent a new one, so that was nice. Glad I didn't need it quickly. My Control issues with my supply chain has made me have second, third and forth options. I have a couple rooms in my home stuff full and I look forward to having more stable supply chains so I don't NEED extra of everything "just in case"

    I love working with Wellington Fragrance- now I pick up from them, I don’t know how good they are on shipping but I have only heard good from them. I like their essential oils a lot.

      I order from them too. Can't keep polo on hand cause it sells to fast.
      My first order from them I ordered drakkar and polo. The drakkar was spot on. Deep and rich like it should be. However, after that, even the sample bottles of drakkar have a sickly sweet smell. Wasted a whole slab cause I couldn't sell it. Called customer service but they didn't believe me. Its as if the formula just changed overnight for all bottles of drakkar.
      I still order from them but unhappily not drakkar any more. Good company though I agree.

    I love so many of their products, but yes the shipping issues is a huge problem. I ordered from them and BB on March 1st. I got my order from BB on March 6th and from them on March 22nd 🤦‍♀️

    In my opinion, being that we are now over a year into the pandemic, people and businesses have had plenty of time to make the necessary adjustments to their ways of doing things and I’m done with taking “due to the pandemic” as an excuse.

    I've noticed the same issue with them lately. Same in stock issue for an item. Last order took 14 business days. I knew which company you were talking about as soon as you said "lead time 7 to 9 business days."

    I use this company because of the prices. I allow for a month lead time so I’m covered. Yep 👍 a month! I had a product (lots) shipped recently and it was damaged in shipping, when I called and all I asked was what was happening with the shipping they actually shipped next day. I still don’t have it, but I allowed for a L-O-N-G time to get it. I probably need to order again because by the time I get this order and use the product I’ll need more in a month or so! Yikes!     This! When you give a "lead time", and don't stick to it, then blame everyone else, including the customer, you're going to lose business. After waiting for my most recent order for almost a full month, I *finally* received the order, and one of liquids had leaked all over some very expensive other ingredients. I contacted them, telling them I had pictures, through their website email form. About 5 days later I get a shipping email. They replaced the bottle that leaked, but none of the other items, that now have no lot numbers or names on them. Other businesses, including myself, would have replaced everything in the bag. Their communication sucks! And I'm still waiting on the replacement even after getting a shipment email. I'm in the process of finding other suppliers for the things I get from them. It's sad.

    Yeah I keep getting that same bs answer from customer service too & I’m sick of it. I manage my core supplies accordingly so I don’t run out but if I want to add something to my line or fill a custom fragrance request I’m screwed b/c they aren’t managing orders properly. I have decided to go elsewhere also. Sad b/c I like & have depended on their products for a while but I can’t operate like this. Thx for this video!
    Ps. Funny thing is Natures garden & Nurture soap...arrive at my house in less than a week after ordering and they are well packed with no missing items or damage. 🤷‍♀️

    I do recognize the bottles so I know what company you’re referring to, though I haven’t bought from them. Regardless of the company, they should be sticking true to their lead time. I’m also one to know that things happen and that can always fluctuate but if that expected lead time is that long overdue that is a problem and definitely not the customer’s fault

      BB it would always take at least a week for me to get an order from them since I'm on the east coast ,but again its been a few years since I've ordered from them ,and this makes me leary to order from them now , wow!!!!

    I placed my first order about 9 days ago, estimated ship is by April 1. We'll see how they do. I did email them because I created an account after I ordered and wanted them to merge my order with my account, and they did respond quickly and took care of it.

    Same thing happened to me with a silly mushroom growing kit from nearby naturals, I commented publicly on their Instagram page and they bashed me and called me a liar, so I pulled up my receipts and they eventually refunded me

    I had the same issue, took a month to get a 5lb bag of shea butter, and was told in the customer service chat, that I must have miss- remembered when I ordered. That's BS in my book, and even when I screen shot the order date person still said I was wrong, and that the order was just placed, this was after me waiting for 3 weeks and no tracking number. In a way im Glad, I'm not the only one that's happened to. I won't be ordering from them again.

    This is sooooooo true from SKS Bottle as well!!!!!!! When they are on their game they are amazing and when they aren't, which happens often, its enough to stop using them....which I have done a few times over the past 4 years. I am moving away from them for this reason as well. But I have had the same problem with this company (the one in the video) off and on as well.

    That is exactly what happened to me the first time I ordered! 18 Days! I told them they needed to update their website! And then when they finally shipped it I had 3 backorder items that were in stock! Then I ordered from another website that ended up being a Sub-company of theirs. Which ships WAY faster than their original website. Rustic Escentuals. So weird to have double standards.

    This video is nothing but the truth!!! I use to love this company. Been buying for years. My last & final order was on the 17th. Fortunately, there is other places to buy from! Now I'm nervous they're gonna buy up all the other small companies I buy from. 😞

    I had an issue recently with them too. Really annoying... My order took 4 1/2 weeks to arrive. I ordered more supplies that I needed immediately but for things like shrink wrap, I decided to wait for it to arrive since my soap had to cure anyways. My order finally comes in, no shrink wrap inside. Just a note saying it was out of stock so they credited me... I had to scramble last minute to find decent shrink wrap 😟

    I have had problems too. I do like some of the products that company carries. I still buy from them when I can. BUT, now I only buy from their sales items. I do plan on what I want to buy and have it in my save for later page. that item will show up in red for the price with the sale price. If I need some of those items I make an order. 10 x 12 soapy room. mary

    I’ve had the very same issues. Also every order I’ve placed, they leave something out of my orders. In addition the packing of orders, something is broken every time. Great products but they’ve got consistent issues going on.

    New subscriber here. I've had similar issues with this company. And I'm irked to NO END that they're out here buying up good companies. If you can't run your current company well, how tf are you going to run 3 more?!?!?
    That being said, I've been in the market for a new company to shop with. I'm in MO, who would y'all suggest? I make pretty much all the things, so I do have to say it was nice getting all the things from one source, lol. Any suggestions?

    I ordered once from this company on the advice of another soaper , BIG MISTAKE. The quality of my soap was crap. I have bought from 3 other top quality companies for years and never had an issue, soap was perfect. I had to use over twice as much of this fragrance and my soap felt sticky and looked awful. My issue is with the fragrance itself, I had to apologize to customers for quality... never, never again, and I recognized the bottles from your last video, and I wonder if anyone else has a beef with the actual fragrance?

    I had the big A with smiley face box give me excuses when they cancelled my order the day it was to be recieved. It said it had been shipped then the day that it was to be recieved it disappeared off my list of orders completely. I was like wait checked with my cc that I was not going crazy. I contacted customer service they tried to tell me that the item was out of stock and they tried to get it in but were not able to 😳 wait it said it was shipped. They then told me that I had gotten an email and that my money had been returned. They "resent me an email" and told me good bye.. wait excuse me wtf?!?!... lately it's been 2 times where I had to speak with customer service where there were issues on their side and I was treated like a moron. I am disappointed, before it was oh sorry let's fix that for you. Now I have to contact them and go through contacting multiple times and be told different things every time. Extremely frustrating.

      Happened to me with one of the big box hardware stores whose colors go well with Halloween for a kitchen sink I needed to complete my kitchen reno and sell my house. Found another source who had it to me the day after Thanksgiving, about 3 days after I ordered it. They now have a customer for life.

    Uncle Jon, do you use citric acid in your soap? They said it eliminates the soap scam from sticking to the floors and curtains.
