As a pure South Indian classical legendary singer Unnikrishnan's daughter she must pronounce Sri as శ్రీ but as North Indian singers she too pronounces as Shri ష్రీ. Nowadays all upcoming singers are not able to learn the particular syllable pronunciation. No doubt she is astute and flawless singer but she should learn from her mistakes and elders should guide accordingly

The initial consonant in "Shrii" is a palatal sibilant and Uthara pronounces it impeccably throughout the song. To change the sound to a dental sibilant would be a distortion. If in doubt, please check out M S Subbulakshmi's rendition of the same song.

Maybe, she kept it Low consciously - fearing increased Sruthi might affect the breath control for this tough Kriti. Thanx to Strumms and the ever growing technology for putting the script & the meaning for the lyrics. Audio Volume should be enhanced. (Uthara could have increased her Sruthi a bit. Maybe, she kept it Low consciously - fearing increased Sruthi might affect the breath control for this tough Kriti. But, as she keeps practising again & again, she could overcome that limitation too). 👍 👌👏

At this little age, how do you sing so perfectly - every word pronounced perfectly and the gamahams were so perfectly sung. The most famous song Ragu Vamsa Sudha. I play flute and was trying to get a perfect rendition and found you and the way you sing is so perfect. I am going to follow the way you sang for my flute. Thanks for the posting.
