About 1962 I spent a term at Hamburg University, a requirement of my German studies at St Andrews Uni in Scotland. I returned home having been to a small handful of lectures. But concerts with the Hamburg PO, the NDR orchestra...9 operas, concerts in Planten en Blomen ( Correct?). Sawallisch, Mackerras, Schmidt-Isserstedt, etc Sadly relying on memory now as all my programmes were lost many years ago. What a wonderful concert hall Hamburg has! I have also enjoyed many broadcasts from there on You Tube.
I used to travel to Hamburg a lot, early in my career, because my company owned a manufacturing facility on the Elbe, much closer to the coast (in Glueckstadt). I haven't been back to Hamburg since the early 2000s, but I know now that I will be traveling back there, just to attend a concert at this beautiful venue!
I like to imagine that, after getting through this very awkward, poorly scripted video production, these two fell in love and lived together happily ever after.
Not quite his style, he used to think in terms of curved slabs of concrete. He also didn’t care much about how the building is used, he was basically a sculptor of buildings.
WHY DID YOU WITHDRAW OBER MEIER'S TCHAIKOVSKI SYMPHONY AT HAMBURG'S RADIO ELBPHILARMONIC ? STUPID BECAUSE THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST HARPSICORD PERFORMANCES EVER !!!
Thanks for that delightful tour!

We were happy to have you 🤩!
Ich war am Sonntag dort zum Konzert und fand es genial. Sowohl den Klang als auch die Architektur.
Nice work!
I'm deffo going to visit. Thank you for tour. Would like to have heard some people playing.
I went there a few years ago and I can tell it's amazing from the moment you spot the building in the horizon

Awesome!

Wonderful
It must a dream to perform here.
Imposantes Bauwerk 😎Grüße aus Holland 🌷
Csodálatos teremben.
Wow❤😊
Is it cost money just to have a snick view of the concert hall it self?
I wonder this questions answer too
Admission to the plaza, the gallery, is free, but you can only enter the two halls with a concert ticket.
Oscar Niemeyer would be touched.

Schöne
It's really cool but it was so incredibly expensive and the acoustic turned out to be mediocre at best. Not exactly a success in my book

Typical German comment 😂
aula simfonia jakarta indonesia, way better than this, built by renaissance man Dr Stephen Tong. trust me
I'm trying so hard but I really cannot see any beauty in that.
What makes it special? Nothing. It is quite ugly actually. This is objective statement because I am objective person.
Nobody cares.
@@peter_meyer You care so much, you had to reply. Thank you for caring.
I would say "you have the right to have your own subjectividade." "Ugly" is really something different. But.... this is my subjectividade
I never met an objective person. You are the first I heard about.
