This is the kind of positivity we need. My husband was laid off the week before thanksgiving, along with 6 of his colleagues. It would be easy to be envious of others but I truly don’t ever feel that way. Even the smallest things make me feel happy for others. I have always loved shopping for others or making meaningful gifts for others way more than I enjoy doing it for myself.

It was the first year my kiddos ages almost 17, 10, and 8 bought my husband and I Christmas gifts. My oldest helped the younger ones. Each of them made me cry. My husband and I are going to do our Christmas at the end of January closer to my birthday. My parents blew us away though. They gave us a Black Friday deal of a laptop (we don’t have a computer) and a printer. Everything I got made me cry! I had a transplant 3 years ago, and this is the first year I’ve felt completely normal. Best Christmas ever!! Thanks for sharing.

I have that exact same peeler gadget. I bought it 7 years ago and drag it out every time I have to peel lots of potatoes. It also peels a ton of other things as well. It's amazing for making lemon zest. I've peeled tomatoes, cucumbers, pears, apples. You name it if the skin isn't thicker and harder than a potato and it fits. You can peel it. I love that thing. My family kind of laughs at me but it's pretty amazing!

It was now or never, and never was a frightening word. We'd be fools to let this pass us by. Winter must be cold for those with no warm memories. We had already missed the Spring. But, the weather would not avail and I ended up in New York with Walter. Life is not a fairytale movie, but all the more enjoyable..Wishing you a very Happy New Year!🙂
YaYa is always so good at giving gifts! I’m using her idea of printing great quality photos in pretty frames that she gave you in the past. I love sentimental gifts! I’ve also seen the idea of making donations to charities in memory of those who have passed away. Im going to do research to make sure money isn’t just lining someone’s pockets, but actually making a difference. I am going to gift myself the two books. While I love to prove people wrong who underestimate me, and I do, I struggle with imposter syndrome. Gift-giving followed by quality time are for sure my love languages, too. We won’t discuss the 1 pound Reese’s Santa I’m eating.

One of the gifts in laws and SIL/BIL the Battery Daddy’s and they loved them , my kids I have for the past few years I give them very good stoneware or cookware so they can build up their kitchens. I love to cook/bake and good products make all the difference.

I think what compounds the problem of imposter syndrome is that it's so difficult to gauge the competence of others, especially with social media which can make the least competent person seem like a genius or make everyone seem more competent than you. Perhaps a video on the subject and sharing what all of our respective thoughts are would be helpful and lessen the mystery?
